Very thoughtful approach to teaching kids anatomy principles
This book has been put together with a lot of thought on how curious kids understand and learn anatomy best. Most kids are curious about their own bodies and how they function. My 6 year old started asking questions from my anatomy books, so I decided to buy her a copy of this one.I wouldn't say she grasps all the concepts fully but enough to quench her curiosity. I think she will continue learning from this book as her understanding expands over the next 3-4 years.A great feature in the book is how the images are arranged in a series with translucent plastic overlay sheets building the picture, corresponding to the notations at the top. For example, what happens to an apple at various stages of digestion, including in the mouth, stomach, small intestines and so on. This feature alone makes it a great learning tool. I would highly recommend it to all parents who would like to impart a good foundation of human anatomy to their children.

Just Perfect!
The media could not be loaded. This little book is absolutely perfect for teaching kids about their bodies. I bought this for my almost 4 year old to help answer questions around how the body works and differences between boys and girls.

Spectacular
Beautiful book. Illustrations are spectacular. For kids who like facts.

fantastic child learning tool
I bought this book years ago for my now 22 yr old pharmacy student daughter; having illustrations of childrens bodies, not adults, made it very approachable & relatable to her child mind; the clear overlay pages are excellent, as is the fact that it now comes spiral bound; I have a medical & artistic background; my daughter had an early interest in bodies/human anatomy/science, & this was one of several books she studied & referred to often as an elementary school child; now that she is almost an independent health care professional herself, she still treasures the early books that helped fuel her inquisitive brain

Too advanced for age range
The text is far more advanced than the child in the pictures. An older child would think it was a baby book. A child the age of the girl in the pictures would not understand the technical text.

Good first body book for littles
Our 3 yr old loves this book. We have to read it at least once a day. She even talks about digestion when she is eating. Recognizing that she is doing the first stage when chewing her food. Then says it is now going to her stomach.
