Q: Is this good for retwisting dreads?

I would not think so. It is more of a string gel and is rather stiff once it dries. My personal opinion is that I don't believe it would be good for trying to retwist dreads.

Actually, paying 11 USD for this cream is a very affordable price considering the quality of the product. It does not produce dandruff and fixes the hair naturally. Today it has become my official product for combing my hair. Greetings

Q: Can this gel be used on African American hair for a rod set?

I'm a black female and use this gel everyday. The gel has a firm hold and tends to feel hard when dry. I use it for my edges and molding my hair. If you want touchable, soft curls, I don't recommend it. It is, however, a really good gel.
