Was exactly what I needed
This remote was exactly what I needed, and is being used on one of the older Sony compact still/video cameras (DSC-HX90V). Delivery was on time and the setup was very easy - worked the first time I tried it. In my application, I have the camera on a tripod and stop/start video recording from 20 to 40 feet away. Works like a champ. The normally green light on the receiver (wire-tethered to the camera) glows red while recording. The light is bright and visible in the 20 to 40 ft range. The only suggestion I have is for the manufacturer to provide some kind of clip to attach the receiver to a tripod. The DSC-HX90V is quite small and doesn't have an accessory shoe that the receiver is designed to mount onto like larger cameras. No biggie, but it would be a little better than hanging from the camera or taped to the tripod.

Great concept…if it can only connect everytime
I like the concept of remote controlling my camera, especially in big surgeries and implant cases. Only thing is connectivity problems. Everytime you turns your camera on, you have to establish the remote connection with the receiver. After the 3rd time a day it starts to get ridiculous, so the team agreed on doing it once a day as part of our opening protocol. Maybe this is the case with the Sony AX43 only. Just be aware of this hiccup before you buy.

Don't waste your money!
I bought this as a substitute for my wired remote control in an effort to capture video at a long distance, which I could not do prior to purchasing this remote. However, this remote did not solve my problem. It only occasionally actually recorded video upon the record button being pressed; the remote had to be pointed directly at the transmitter from close distance delicately. If the button was pressed too hard, the video did not record. And it did not work from a distance any further than 5-10 feet though the product description advertises a 100m radius. I returned the item and bought this remote: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QHY1QWT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which worked perfectly from over 100 feet away. Save your money on the JJC brand and go with ProMaster!

Works great. Valuable when the camera is some distance away.
It has the features I value when recording. I often use extreme zoom to capture what I need and touching the camera to start or stop recording jiggles the image. Usually I am some distance away when the event I capture happens so the recording wastes time if I press buttons on the video camera; the wireless remote lets me start and stop to save editing time. A wired remote would not reach far enough and the wire would get in the way.Be sure the cable is fully plugged into the camera. I thought it was plugged in but I had not pushed the connector in all the way.

This one works and dose a very good job of it, easy to use.
This remote could not be easier to connect, and do every thing it is suppose to. I highly recommend it. Be sure that your camera is listed as one it is for.

Works almost half of the time
I have a Sony RX10 that can take 2-4 second movies at 1000 frames per second. If I'm doing a destructive test of a product, I don't have enough time to physically push the button on my camera while also recording the test. I thought this would be the perfect solution, but it only works about every other time, even from just a few feet away. In other words, you spend lots of time and money setting something up, you push the button, and you learn after the fact that it didn't record. Whatever money I saved buying this cheapo device was wasted almost instantly by lost footage. Usually you're using a remote because the shot is important to you in one way--say it's your one chance to get a picture with you and Bigfoot in the same frame. You'll miss the shot but think, "At least I saved ten bucks over buying something that works."

Works great
It works really well I do wish that the receiver could pull power from the camera or have an external power supply option. My usual setup is a camera inside on a tripod with a pan tilt head so power usually available just want to be able to control zoom from 25-50 ft away. It does work very well
