Perfect for numeracy teaching especially Maths Recovery work.
Very handy for Maths Recovery work. A little smaller than imagined but does the job great.

TINY beads, plastic frame, lightweight. The alternative with chunky beads is better value.
While this product replicates the Rekenrek idea of 20 red and white beads grouped by 5's on two sliding rods, its utility as an effective maths manipulative is limited by the TINY size of the beads. This is nowhere close to the chunky size of the standard Rekenrek beads, and it affects a child's ability to execute "one finger, one push" with accuracy. It also limits the ability of the teacher to see what the child is doing (their finger hides the beads from view), and limits the ability of students to see what the teacher is demonstrating (the beads are just too small). For less than £2 more, you can get the chunky bead version (also in wood) here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08R6DYF5M)

Very plastic and beads too small
While ANY rekenrek counting frame is a good purchase because of its function, this one is a poor quality item. The frame is large and plastic, with very small beads. If you’re using it to demonstrate from the front of class, it’s not appropriate. It’s won’t be easy to use also without good fine motor skills.

Fell apart after 1 day
Looks good but the side came off within 24 hours. My kids are not very gentle but when the beads came out it was a choking hazard for the 1 year old.Returned the broken item.
