Very solid product
Purchased numerous of these for our fleet vehicle's digital rear view mirrors and cameras. Never had a problem. Turned on and off 5-20 times a day runs 4-8 hours a day, 5 or 6 days a week for 2 years on 5 units. Work every time.

Great to install high speed USB into your vehicle
I needed some USB plugs behind my radio for powering a few items so I bought this. I tapped the power into the 12v cigarette lighter wires. I’m using it to run a USB dual fan to help keep my Android Head unit cool. It works great. Easy to use, a good power supply, and a good value for the money. I haven’t noticed any problems with heat issues.

Been running my cellphone connected to my solar install for 8 months and no problems.

Great so far, with one slight disadvantage
I haven't used it much, but it has tested great and was a breeze to install. My iphone seems quite happy with the power, too.My one caveat: There is no way to pass the USB wiring through a small opening. It's made to mount the USB sockets from the rear, and there can be no small pass-thrus to run the wire through. It would be so helpful if the sockets could be disconnected somehow, the wire passed through, and then reconnected. If your plan involves a small aperture, as mine did, keep that in mind :)Oh also, I agree with those who wish the power leads were longer. I managed fine, but it's easier and better to trim the wires shorter than to splice on spare wire. Okay, two caveats.Still, it's great, so full 5 stars anyway :)

I have a bunch of these USB-C type, and none have failed.
I read through the large volume of complaints. In my humble opinion, QC3.0 can draw 3A from a 12V power source and this unit can supply 12 volts if device requests it. Depending on the wiring, it's possible that the source voltage could droop considerably. I've chosen to run these devices at 18V, and I am delighted with their performance (so far) at that voltage. I charge my Android tablets with them, and the tablet recognizes the charger as "Fast Charge". I have also had issues with low voltage complaints from a QC3.0 source supporting a Raspberry Pi. (The raspberry pi's poor conformance to USB standards on some models, the QC3.0 power supply will drop back to USB2.0 @ 1.5A. I had to use a NON QC inverter to support my Raspberry Pis.

Very impressive idk current consumption.1.15 mA @ 12.6V1.07 mA @ 14.5V0.97 mA @ 24.0VIt's currently charging my headphones. First use. We'll see how it goes.

Stopped working intermittently
Item keeps shutting down after long drives. I used this to power a GPS speedometer on my classic car. After driving for some time it would stop working. I dont know if mine was defective, but it didn't work for me
