Q: What's the difference between the 9 and the 10?

i get 9 and the 6th string is a 46 , which i find ok , .set 9 is 9 11 16 26 36 and 46 , it looks like the other set is 10 to 46 which means,the top string is a bit thicker , and , it will give a better sound ,i find the number 9 (top string ) is too light and gives a "tinny "sound,so i actually change the 2 top strings , hence ,11 12 16 26 36 46 , its a matter of what is best for you ,you can always try both ok i hope this is helpful .

They are wound mate .go on ebay and search plain guitar strings , ie unwound and you will find some good quality strings !
