Q: I am trying to replace this starter we have: 13w, 25-65w & 80w only starter 220-240v bs en60155 - will it work?

These are standard starters for tubes between 4 and 65 watts. If the starter is the same shape, size and fitting (a small canister about the size of 35mm roll of film with two very small brass lugs on the top) as the one you want to replace then I'd say go for it.

Hi, Thanks for response, this is exactly what I did but I am not convinced that the shop provided with the correct one (I had by then thrown the original one away) the lamp is only 2 months of age but has always struggled to come on with the replacement starter and now won't come on at all. It shouldn't be the lamp as its an energy saving 15 year life span? so that's why I asked if there is a specific starter for this type of lamp. But Thank you so much.

I don't know for sure, though I suspect it will work as it's 4-65w and the s stands for starter and the fs stands for fluorescent starter. Or try an electronic starter at £3.55 will start a wide range of tubes and doesn't flicker.
