Bought as extra internal storage for PS5, works perfectly so far.
I bought this internal SSD to expand the internal memory on our PS5.It didn’t have a heat sink but the one I got separately did the job.Installed very quickly and easily, picked up and formatted by PS5 with no issues.Read speed was 6,934MB p/s so definitely at the high end of speeds needed for PS5, and working as expected so far.One word of note. There’s a thin metal plate (a basic heat sink I think) on the SSD when you get it.It’s best to take this off, as fitting it into the heat sink was much harder with the metal plate in place but the heat sink fitted perfectly when the plate was removed. For the price at the time it’s definitely great value compared to bigger branded SSDs like Samsung or Western Digital.

Good value for the size and speed
I needed a larger SSD for music production and this one ticked all of the boxes.Data transfer was quick and easy (I purchased a UGREEN M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure from Amazon and used Macrium Reflect Free to clone / transfer my current drive). The new drive then worked seamlessly (including my Windows licence which transfrred too without any fuss) and the SSD enclosure worked well with my old drive as an external backup. The speed is more than good enough for reading / writing multiple music tracks and I'm yet to experience any delays so would recommend.

VERY GOOD, BUT RUNS HOT!
I've installed this M.2 SSD into my HP laptop and it is a very good and fast drive however, this drive runs very hot indeed and I can feel the hear permeating through the laptop. I have no idea why this drive is running so hot! I am worried that it might burn out or damage the laptop. I think I might have to try and fit a heatsink onto the drive and see if this helps, but unsure if a heatsink will fit inside the laptop case.

PS5 Storage companion
This unit works a treat, you MUST have a heatsink for it (buy separately). Installation was without issue, the fit and finish is perfect (if you are finding difficulty putting it in, you've probably got it the wrong way around?).You must get the heatsink, trying to run it without it, will have your PS5 overheating.Read/Write speeds are as product description, however PS5 utilisation will give you 6800 which is more than ample.Run Spiderman on full performance mode and do not experience any noticeable lag, delay or glitching audio or visual experience. It works!

A Blend of Top-Tier Quality and Performance!
Even though I'm currently on a PCIe 3.0 setup, I decided to invest in the Kingston KC3000 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD in anticipation of my next computer upgrade. Right out of the box, the quality and build of this SSD are unmistakably Kingston – robust and impressive. While I'm not leveraging its full potential just yet, its performance on my current setup is already noteworthy. I've always trusted Kingston for their consistency and top-tier products, and the KC3000 just reinforces that trust. It's a great feeling knowing that as I transition to a newer system, I've already equipped myself with a top-of-the-line SSD that's ready to deliver. Highly recommended for those planning ahead!
