I use Mucuna Pruriens to increase the number of testosterone receptors.
I have been on testosterone replacement therapy for six years now, and while I receive wonderful mental and physical benefits from the treatment, I've been very frustrated by my the lack of development of muscle mass. Working with my doctor, and going to gym five days a week, we've experimented with cycling dosages, and even very high dosages, but in all that time I've seen no increase in muscle mass. Our working theory is that my body may just have very limited testosterone receptors, so after doing some reading of studies sponsored by the NIH, Mucuna Pruriens came up as a way to increase testosterone receptors in some people. I've been taking it for three months, and between adding this and other supplements (primarily GABA) I've seen more muscle mass gains in those three months than the prior six years! It's far from hulking increases, but it's just enough to keep me motivated, and for me that's what's most important to maintain the health benefits of increased physical activity! The most interesting tidbit is that after adding Mucuna Pruriens, my free testosterone level that was a solid ~900, dropped to 500. Which had never happened in the prior six years. Not sure if that means that more testosterone is being consumed by my muscles, or just being better metabolized in my liver (liver enzymes/clearances were unchanged). I have another test in a couple of months to see if the level remains reduced, and thus if increasing will aid in adding additional muscle mass. This is ALL anecdotal, so you should work directly with your doctor regarding what strategy will work best for you!

A Very Positive Addition To My Supplements: Strange Clumping
A friend told me about this velvet bean stuff he uses for its dopamine qualities so i ordered some and now add it to my tea twice a week, sometimes 3 but not more than that. It definitely has an effect. I find when i take it at work or before i go out (especially when i'm feeling lazy) I can very easily get through the rest of whatever is going on without problem and kinda having fun. It's not something that really slaps you in your face as a substance but it does have a noticeable effect not unlike a low dose of caffeine that stays with you the rest of the afternoon.Ive been using this for 3 months or so and I find it to be very effective when I add it to my supplement tea that consists of shilajit, passionflower extract, and guarana extract (with the macuna every 2-3 daysof course). The stack gives me an almost limitless clean energy and keeps me incredibly sharp all day in a math heavy job with no crash. Every so often i will use kratom on top of all that and THAT is the ticket. To me that combination is like 10x better than Adderall with absolutely no crash or psychoses and the world needs to know. This product by itself is good but together with others it is great. Powder clumps weird and you need super hot water to break it down which sucks but it's going into tea anyway so whatever.Keep it natural kids.

and have gotten pretty good at being able to tell the difference between ...
Interesting stuff. Let me start by saying I've been "hacking" my own health/mental health for years, and have gotten pretty good at being able to tell the difference between depression due to serotonin issues, dopamine issues, etc., because they do take on different forms with different symptoms. I always prefer to take a natural route when adjusting anything with my body chemistry. Not to say that pharmaceuticals don't have their place, they do, and my issues are mild to moderate, not severe, so I can give myself the time to figure out what works for me, and since this supplement DOES most definitely alter the mood, I'd recommend taking your time and being cautious and aware of changes, good or bad. Okay that being said, I'm on day 4 of supplementing with mucuna and the results are quite nice. I'd been in a funk and just lacking pleasure or joy, and decided on it being a dopamine issue. I've used tyrosine to boost dopamine previously, and it helps to an extent, but this jumps it over the finish line for me. I've been more content, finding joy in the very existence of things, feeling more optimistic and less compulsive and feeling less desire to seek pleasure in things like ice cream...you know, the things we turn to when we just need a mood boost. I'm staying at a low dose because it's working, and also because as with most substances that affect neurotransmitters, there's a sweet spot...too much, and you can get the opposite effect that you're looking for. For this product specifically, I trust Bulk Supplements, have used many of their products and will continue to do so for the quality and VALUE over buying encapsulated products whenever possible. This supplement has an earthy, barely sweet taste. I wouldn't say it tastes delicious but there's something naturally appealing about it, maybe because I can associate the taste with a good feeling, I don't know, but it's not bad.

This is a very wrong and concerning product.
Something really wrong happened with this purchase, this time the product is spicy and bitter, it gives me a lot a nausea. I’ve purchased this before and it was completely different. I’m afraid it’s contaminated maybe poisoned.
