Sits on the desk, next to the 3D printer. The PLA peels off at the same level as the feed motor, without any sharp angles. Does not slide or slip around. Very stable.

Wayyyy better than the original plastic holder. Fits on the aluminum extrusion solidly and is very rigid. Incredibly smooth and easy to turn, came with an extended piece for wide filament rolls.Only thing they could improve on is to use a bigger cone to hold the filament. Some of my spools just won't fit, going to have to print an adapter.

I've been using a Food Saver and their cut to length bags to store my filaments. The Food Saver bag width makes inserting a reel a very tight fit that stretches the bag and renders them sensitive to tearing. So I've been looking for a replacement. These bags work very well. They are a bit bigger, sized to better fit filament reels, and the material is relatively thick plastic so they seem to be pretty robust and for the two weeks I've used them, they hold a vacuum without a problem. I've actually used the same bag multiple times, sealing and resealing it as I interchange filament colors. The manual vacuum pump that comes with this kit is sturdy and well made. The only MINOR complaint I have with it is that the diameter of the silicone seal ring that contacts the valves on the plastic bags could be a little bigger. It does quite a bit of pumping to get a good vacuum so I use the accessory vacuum attachment on my Food Saver system... works great and is fast.
