Q: Does it need any special software installed for certain functionality?

This 360 camera work straight out of the box and does not require any additional software to drive it. I have had no problems and use it for a hybrid conference (using ZOOM) every week.

Q: What frame rate options are available, is it just 30fps (for the american market) or will it 25fps (for uk and eu market)?

Mine does 1920x1080 @ 5/10/15/20/30 FPS

Q: Will the camera work with Android?

This camera is plug and play with the USB connector and does not require any drivers. I see no reason why it should not operate with Android. I have not tried such a setup so cannot guarantee that it will operate this way. It is probably worth contacting the manufacturer before purchase just to be certain. I have found them helpful in responding to the questions I had.
