Absolutely it can stand up to rainy conditions. Its a very well made chair. Light weight, comfortable and sturdy. I LOVE my chair and its many useful features.

I'm not familiar with the dimensions of a large yeti tumbler but the holder is 3in. in diameter and 1 1/2 in. deep.
