Nice addition to the Alpharetta v2. A decent alternative to the included remote. Not perfect and you need to watch the cart behind you in narrow situations. I had an instance where it was a a foot or two right of me and behind. I was walking by a sand trap to my right. the cart was not directly behind me and went into the trap. I had a lot of raking to do. It is overall a nice addition to a neat way to convert your existing golf cart into an electric cart.

This is an excellent addition to the Alphard system. A friend prefers just to use the remote. I like using both. After a shot, with plenty of room to maneuver, you can grab the tether to bring the cart along rather than fumble with the remote. Using the remote to reposition the cart is often handy, especially around the green.The device can lose its center where the cart follows at an angle rather than straight behind. A guide for re-centering the device (TFS Center Position Recalibration) can be found on YouTube.The device lacks an important auto-off feature found in many battery-powered devices. You might find yourself at the course with a discharged unit if you forget to power it off or the power button gets accidentally pressed, like when I store it in a bag with other essentials. I’m currently trying to protect the button by storing the belt clip on the unit and, at the same time, remembering to be sure it’s off.I’m not sure how to tell when the unit needs charging. I’ll update later when I figure that out. Maybe others can point it out.

As someone reviewed earlier, great in the wide open. But once you get somewhere tight, like a bridge or near a trap, it has a mind of its own.Connects via magnet to the belt attachment. The magnet piece has already broken off and I have had to “improvise” a fix. At this price , I should have to improvise …Overpriced for what you are getting and overall quality of product .I’ve gone back to using the remote.

At first I wasn’t sure after ordering if I should return the product but after one round I was sold! I love that this product a swell as the remote on the V2 are rechargeable! I am very happy with Alphard products! Highly recommended, enjoy your rounds

I like it but not in tight areas. They need a better option to secure it to the cart. It slipped, lost orientation to me, and crashed.

I returned this item as I did not think being attached to my cart by a tether was something I wanted to do.
