This thing is PERFECT for smartphone pictures in dark nightclubs without using flash. Just turn it on, hold it out over one shoulder and move it closer/farther or use the brightness knob to get just the right amount of fill light, but you'll still see the environment behind your subjects. Very nice pictures that way. Totally worth it for these kind of shots, and I haven't even tried it with my "real" camera yet!In my club uses, the lowest brightness was fine, but for a full-length shot of a couple, I did have to crank it up a little bit. Don't recall if I hit the max or not.Try it, you'll like it.

Got this as an additional light source for taking night photos with my instax or with my video camera. It's the perfect size (compact enough to throw in my handbag, emits a powerful light, and the dimmer knob is crucial. The light is very cold when you use it as-is, but I put a 1/2 gel and some diffusion paper over it and now the light quality is yummy. A great deal for the price.

This is one of the best investments I made in a while. I don’t know why I took so long to get one. It is powerful, long lasting, light weight, and compact. I can have an assistant hold it with out a stand if need be. I am definitely going to get at least 2 more

COLOSSALLY UNHAPPY that I have to continually reset the battery. This would be a stellar product if it weren't for that issue. When you have a full-day shoot and a backup battery that you ALSO have to continually reset, it's an issue!!! DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE LONGER THAN THREE HOURS OF SHOOTS.

These are great although the light output is very "cold" and doesn't mix well with typical interior lighting. Easy enough to tape a bit of gel over it tho.

This is a great way to light up a subject. Used it in a very dare situation for video and there was a great soft light.

I picked up this light based on the reviews and my level of photography experience. I've only been able to use this light one time. I've taken it on other shoots only to find out that this device's battery stops working after not being used for sometime. I've tried every trick in the book to get this fixed, much to no avail. I can not recommended purchasing this device. Also the customer service is non-existent. Iam terribly frustrated by this. I basically spent x amount of dollars for a paper weight

Working. Adjusts the brightness of the flashlight. It shines well. Already experienced at night. The video shows everything, I'm happy
