Q: What does the night vision?

It is a invisible red dot that can only be seen through a night vision device

Q: can I fit this on a quick disconnect mount on an ar15 and can you mount a magnifier behind it as well?

If you mount this red dot directly on the ar with the included picatinny mount, it will be the standard height to match your magnifier. If you then mount it on a QD mount, the height will be rised. You then also need to rise the magnifier height too

Q: Is this sight small enough to put on a 45 degrees mount on a ar?

Very small and well built. Perfect for that application. Currently on my AK pistol platform.

Q: Is IR light required for the night vision ?

I was a bit confused as to the night vision feature myself. What happens is the red dot gets very dim Hard to notice in any readable lighting. Try it in a dark room and you will see the retical. This allows a functioning red dot in darkness without what your aiming at being able to see it.
