It's great, while it lasts.
*updated review*:So I'm revising my original review: this is now the SECOND one I've purchased for my kids. The port inside the nightlight itself has now jimmied it's way out for the second time. After opening up the nightlight itself, it appears the glue that held it in place wore off. Therefore, plugging the cord in is fruitless when there is nothing to complete the connection inside. The first nightlight this happened to, the port that is supposed to hold the cord in place was LOOSE inside the nightlight itself. If we shook the nightlight, we could audibly hear it moving all around inside of it. The second one I purchased (thinking the first nightlight was just a fluke), within a month, same thing- port issue. Only difference is this one didn't come completely loose and rattle around inside the nightlight, it's just so loose it doesn't recognize a cord is plugged in. If we held the cord at a certain angle, it would complete the connection but if we let the cord go, the nightlight would turn off.Now before anyone comes at me about "mishandling" this, it's always on a shelf and unplugging it has always been done with care. It's disappointing because the kids love this nightlight and all of features were great- hence why I purchased a second one in hopes the first nightlight was just a random occurrence. The exact same thing happened within a month of using this one. Things shouldn't become unglued from electronics from basic plugging in/unplugging- especially when items are being handled with care (husband is a master electrician- we've all been told repeatedly how to plug/unplug appliances/electronics lol)I'll be in the market for a new galaxy nightlight that is made by a different company now.*original review*:I bought this for my kids and they absolutely love it! There are so many different colors, they particularly like choosing different planets each night to look at as well. The star and/or planet feature (galaxy feature turned off) is nice for when they are asleep it keeps the room lit but not super bright.I like that you can customize what is displayed at any time with any combination ofgalaxy by itself, galaxy and stars, galaxy and planet, galaxy and planet and stars, just starsor just planet/moon.The bluetooth speaker is nice as well for when we want to play calming music for them- just be aware if you're using a phone to connect to this speaker- all of your notification tones (texts/phonecalls/etc) will play through it as well (lol).

Honestly pretty great for the money.
The media could not be loaded. The planets are super clear and labeled (including Pluto 😉) and the moon which my 3yo is super impressed with. He’s space obsessed. It has tons of options and can hook up to your phone to play music. Or you could use a memory card if you’re fancy and want a set playlist. We had bought this once before, but we were having issues getting the remote to change the settings. I thought the button batteries might have been bad but no dice. By this point I had waited long enough we were outside the return window for Amazon. We continued to use it without the remote, but you can’t activate a timer without it. And leaving it on for 10 hours or so bleached out the planet SO quickly. So please use a timer. 😅 I should’ve reached out to the company but hindsight right….So we went shopping for a different one. Couldn’t find anything like this one and decided to purchase again. It was a night and day difference. This time it works seamlessly and if we encounter any issues I’ll reach out to the company directly 😂Only reason for 4* is due to not being able to set a timer without the remote.

Great for adults too
I'm an adult and the video from this caught my eye. It is very relaxing to have this on at night, so many choices. It's different from ones I have bought my grandson, the field covers a large area, the colors are vibrant if you want vibrant, but muted on some settings.

My four year old grandson's favorite Christmas gift!
The media could not be loaded. This was my grandson's favorite Christmas gift! He uses it every night. Remote control has a lot of buttons and is too complicated for him to work. Beautiful lights! Love the sleep timer!

You can’t see the entire solar system at one time. Just a plane by planet view! ! Like thanks !
I’m disappointed. I was looking for a solar system viewing not individual planets viewing. And why doesn’t the remote spin the. Planets? Why am I flipping the dial manually. What the point of the remote? To make the star in background start flashing to fast they could make a person have a seizure. Sending back ASAP
