Q: I need to use this on a 10 ft ceiling. How long is the power cord? I'm seeing 6 feet and 12 feet. Which one is correct?

Mine arrived at the end of June with a 12’ power cord. FYI, I am very satisfied with the product.

Q: How would this be used if there are no plugs nearby in the ceiling?

The cord is long enough to be able to be plugged into a near wall, it also came with fasteners to attach cord to the wall for a safer and neater look

There is no such thing as recovery energy from anything battery powered by spinning blades.

Q: Why does the online manual say i can lock the screen when i actually can’t. is this a typo or do i have an old product?

It must be a typo or leftover text from a different product's manual. I don't think it was translated into English very well.
