Q: what is a 90 degree spine grind? im a noob.

This knife lacks a 90 degree spine. That means the spine will have polished, rounded edges that are more comfortable to push on with your thumb when carving. The downside is the spine won't have sharp enough edges to throw sparks from a firesteel, if you so desire. So it's a trade off; more comfortable to carve with, but won't throw sparks. The standard Morakniv Eldris does have a 90 degree spine.

Q: What is the difference between this 'light duty' Eldris and the regular Eldris?

The difference is the regular Eldris has a 90° grind on the spine and the light duty doesn't. The regular Eldris has a brushed stainless finish and the light duty has more of a polished stainless. The construction and size is the same.

Q: Does it come with belt loop?

it does not come with a belt loop, however a belt loop accessory is available, I have one - it has a strap that fits snugly around the sheath and the loop comes up the backside. Please note, that since the loop can go either way, and the knife is reversible in the sheath, it can be set for left or right handed. It's available here on Amazon for about $14. Something else about using the loop - it's the best way to hang the Eldris on a neck lanyard and be able to draw the knife without having to pull the rig over your head, since the lanyard attaches to the loop, and not the knife.

Q: What does “light duty” mean? Is this a different model than the regular Eldris?

The regular duty Eldris has a steeper grind on the tip, as well, which makes it easier to carves holes through the wood; an example is a lanyard hole.
