Almost perfect
I would give this 4 1/2 stars if possible. It is well constructed, solid (and as a result a bit heavy). It actually comes with screws and washers for the rack mount, and if you were to mount a single board on the top and two devices on the front, you would have enough screws. The one complaint I had about it was that the lower part of the top (mixer) rails seemed to be a bit warped or something. I was able to mount my Chauvet Obey 70 there (although I was unable to use the lowest rail screw holes... it just would not work), but it required some serious torque to push the rail close enough to the device to get one of the screws in (would have been much easier with two people). After I got the first device mounted, all of the other devices mounted above it with no issues. Depending upon what you are trying to accomplish, the permanent hole on the back of the case may or may not be useful. If you have a few small cables going in and out of you case, it will work just fine, but if you have any kind of snake going into your case, you will find it to be either useless or just really frustrating. With that said, the back door that the hole is in is removable, and in addition, there is room (depending upon the size and configuration of your mixer) to pull wires out of the top from behind the rack. One other note is that while you are obviously buying only 2 vertical rack spaces for a reason (probably for size considerations), that does not leave much working room inside the box. I have a Furman M-8X2 that I am using to power everything inside the box, and because I have wall warts plugged into it, there is no room for another rack unit below that (although I taped a wireless router into the space below the Furman. On the other hand, I have a Chauvet Obey 70 and an Obey 40 controller mounted together on the top rack, and the design of those boards enables the cable outputs for each board clear the bottom of the other board. Because of the confined space, I highly recommend implementing some sort of cable management.Bottom line is that the overall construction quality is very solid, but the warping issue precludes me from giving it a full five star rating.
