Q: Does this need a special butane bottle, or will one from my other grills work?

Rather conveniently it accepts all the major Butane and Butane/propane mix canisters (Primus, MSR etc).

Q: After use, can you disconnect the gas canister from burner to be used the next day, or does the gas evaporate?

You should always disconnect it for transport and storage. The gas canister has an automatic spring valve inside the can that seals the gas inside when disconnected from the stove apliance. Thanks!

Q: Can it burn all fuels as the Whisper-light International can?

No. As configured it uses canister (Butane/Propane mix) fuel. With an after market adapter you can also use Coleman 1Lb. Propane canisters, using great care to control burn rate (Not recommended).

Q: What is the screw application under the burner? I am looking for a nut that fits there.
