For those of you NOT connecting these to a zone 2 on your main AV receiver, how do you power these?

Personally im using dedicated receiver for my speakers outdoors with a Zone 3 line ran to it. I am using a dedicated receiver for the purpose of the "A" & "B" so that i can control two separate zones in my yard. Ex. Zone "A" is around the pool and Zone "B" is the BBQ lounging area and when we are having a party Zone's "A" and "B" at the same time. But these speakers do need a dedicated amp to run them but any amp with a minimum of at least 100 watts per channel will be ok. but it really comes down to how much you want to spend. How do they get powered

stereo receiver powers these speakers through speaker wire and these speakers sound as good as the source you use....I love mine and they sound awesome....I use an old school kenwood 4 channel stereo receiver...

What type of speaker wire is recommended if running over 100 ft?

For only pushing 100w, you'll only need to go as big as 16awg for running that far. Make sure you use shielded wiring - not clear coated sliver/copper wire. compatible with bose?

That is a hard question to answer because I don't know what model of Bose speakers you are referring to. Most speakers for home systems are pretty much compatible with each other so they should be. The way to tell for sure is to look at the resistance or impedance of the speakers and make sure they are the same. Most speakers are 8 ohm impedance and some are 4ohm. 8 Ohm is the most common. It is good to try to make sure all your speakers are the same ohms or impedance. If your main pair is 8ohm I would make sure your next pair are 8 ohm also. I am not even sure what these are they are they are already mounted, but I think they are 8ohm. I would check your Bose though. Sometimes Bose likes to do weird things like make there speakers an uncommon ohm, like 2 ohm or some thing else because they want you to buy their speakers. I have a different pair of Yamaha speakers on my main stereo and Bose also. And they are fine. So they should work.
