This is my first time having a Canon printer, and I have to say that I like having all the colors separate so the color cartridges can be replaced as needed, rather than replacing a tri-color cartridge when only one color is empty. They are a little pricey, but so far, very happy with them.We've had several other brands of printers, and three different HP printers. I hated the waste of the HP test pages that printed out in color every time you replaced a cartridge, as it used a lot of ink, and often would repeat itself 2 or 3 times. I also like separate color cartridges.Well done Canon - you've won me over.
