Works As Advertise
The drive is compact and easy to move around and always works when I plug it in, and the write speed is good. I hook it up to my TV a lot and it always interacts perfectly. My only complaints would be the feel - it just FEELS cheap. I don't know if that means it really is, I'm not looking to drop-test it any time soon, but the plastic feels weak and the rubber is literally only in six spots. The chord is super short and also feels cheap and makes me nervous. HOWEVER, despite those things, it works perfectly fine, so I don't count them against the drive. The other complaint, and my only serious one - I would say about 75% of the time, when I hook it up to my computer to transfer files, it will NOT eject. Nothing I do will work, I've taken to just shutting down my computer and pulling it free then. I can't figure out the why or reason, all programs are closed, all files are closed, the trash is empty, I've even restarted, done everything I can think of. Not a huge glitch, but annoying for sure. But I would still recommend this to anyone - a great price for a durable 1TB drive.

Love this memory option
For the price of two smaller memory sticks I purchased this portable to 1) provide a backup option for my files, and 2) allow me the ability to have all my files at my fingertips between the office and my home laptop. Here's what I love:- the convenience of having the USB cord attached and molded into the design- enough memory to house all my files including some monster sized videos and photos- physical size is slightly larger than my Iphone so it conveniently fits in a pocket of my laptop case where I normally storeCDs/DVDs- the design is rugged and fun... most likely, IF I were to drop it, unless I dropped it perfectly flat, it would connect on one of thepadded corners or sides first absorbing some of the impact (I'm not going to test it, but it visually make sense)- the backup process is fast and efficient- the price for the memory sizeWhat I don't love:- sorry, haven't had my first fight yet, so still in the honeymoon phase.I can't believe that I got 1tb for the same price as two 256 gb flash drives. Wish I had done this purchase a long time agoand Oh, Great supplier in price and expediency of delivery

Very Fast, Efficient, Rugged, Affordable, Attractive, with 3 yr Warranty!
My initial impressions:-->(1)SPEED/Efficiency: in USB 2.0 is that this is a fast Fat32 drive - the fastest external Fat32 drive I have tried. Since NTFS is faster and better in most cases, I reformatted it to NTFS. It seemed to format faster than expected. Yes, in NTFS, this drive is even faster, so this is certainly recommended. As soon as I buy a USB 3.0 drive, I will try it in 3.0, and then it will really blaze. And, FWIW, this is a much faster way to do significant drive back up than using the cloud.-->(2) RUGGEDNESS: the rugged 'Armor' shockproofing looks and sounds (from design and reviews) great!-->(3) WARRANTY: the 3 year warranty is proof that SP believes in this drive - so I will believe in it too. This is a great warranty for an external drive. Since I've never had a portable external drive last 3 years (or even 2 - I carry them around a lot and seem to be too haphazzard with them), so I am excited.-->(4) AESTHETICS: Although I don't care much, others may. Despite being shockproofed, this is an attractive drive that looks more like a smart phone. For the aesthetically inclined, you could buy a matching color smart phone protective hard case.-->(5) PRICE: The price is very good. It is priced similarly to slower, non shock proofed drives shorter warrantied drives of the same capacity.CONCLUSION: I can give it my highest ever initial external drive rating!

Mine only lasted 8 years! So back it up!!!
The product is pretty good, it held a lot of files including downloaded videos. I also dropped it a bunch of times and it worked for awhile. It stopped responding after about 8 years after constant use and I lost ALL my data so just beware and back up your drive after 5 years just in case. That’s why cloud storage is better for that purpose
