Great supplemental way to feed the shrimp
Our freshwater shrimp love the lollipops! It does not cloud the water and is a great way to feed them if you have to be away for a few days. You can also add it as a treat for them. It's fun to watch them gather on the sticks and a nice way to see how well they are doing. Easy to use.

The algae sticks are a clear favorite
I started with the mixed pack and after testing them in 4 of my shrimp tanks, the algae lollies were the ones that they consistently favored. I'm sure shrimp enjoy all of the flavors, but the algae sticks just attract neocaridina shrimp like magnets. If I put one in my RCS tank (my biggest colony at the moment) there will be at least 15 of shrimp on the stick within 10 minutes. Sometimes I catch them crawling over each other to find a spot to eat. My most recent tank is full of juvenile sunkist orange shrimp and they haven't quite figured out the feeding dish but I was surprised at how fast they realized the lolly was food and latched on. Since they are newer and young it is good to see them eating something so quickly and easily. These are a little pricey but worth it to me. I usually give them once every few weeks as a treat. I realized the other day that these sticks provide an added bonus of being able to see if my darker colored shrimp are carrying eggs. I have a tank full of black rose shrimp and it's nearly impossible to see if they are berried the way you can with red/orange/blue shrimp. I noticed one of the bigger females fanning while she was on the stick eating and with the way the stick was positioned I was able to see up the underside of her skirt to find that she was, indeed, carrying eggs. Hooray! So not only do these allow you to check by having something the shrimp swarm all over, but it also allows you to see their underside to check for eggs as well.

Great for shrimp but feed in moderation!
Great for shrimp, but feed in moderation and don't leave in the tank for too long! It's a great rotation in their diet and fun to watch them climb up and down

Kills your shrimp, DO NOT BUY!
I bought this product for my 20g long shrimp tank. My tank has been established for 6 months now and have grown to have tons neocardina blue and red rili shrimps. I also sell my shrimps too for some extra cash. I had done my regular water change and decided to throw a lolly in. I had put in 2 of them before and the shrimp were meh to them so I tried a new flavor. The color was light brown. No more than a hour later and I had 20 shrimps dead. It's been 4 days since then and I have had approximately 70-100 shrimp die on me, and all my snails too. There were so many dead bodies, that I had to siphon them instead of taking them out with a net. I have done multiple water changes since the massacre, sometimes having to do 3 a day because of how many died. Not many shrimp are dying now that it's been a few days, however I now only have 14 shrimps left out of about 100. I have ruled out all the other possibilities for these deaths. The last one was this lolly, as it was a new flavor. And upon further inspection other people in the reviews have had shrimp die on them too. I didn't see those reviews and faced the consequences. I trusted them because glasgarten had been a reputable brand for me. Thank lorde that none of the fish died, but the shrimps did. It is not worth the risk, nor the trauma to buy these. You would not believe how many dead bodies there were. Absolutely devastating. Listen to these reviews. Do not kill your shrimp!

Great cheap alternative
wonderful! My shrimp love them, within 10 minutes, at least 20 of them will be on the lollies. They stay together pretty well in water for long periods of time, and don't spoil the water.

Shrimp love them and everyone else does too!
I bought these for my shrimp and they go crazy for them, but the funniest part is how much the other fish love them too. My honey gourami, Otocinclus, and Corydoras are always trying to sneak in and steal the food even when I offer their own. My mystery snails even climbs right up the stick like it is a little snack pole made just for them. The sticks are easy to place in the substrate and they stay upright well so all the shrimp (and others) can gather and graze. They also last a while which keeps everyone busy and gives me some great viewing time. These are a fun treat that brings a lot of activity to my tanks.
