John Frieda Colour Refreshing Gloss, Warm Blonde, Vibrancy Extending Hair Treatment, Deep Golden Tones, 6 Ounce, Ammonia and Peroxide Free

I have purchased this many times - it does such a great job of subtly refreshing my color at home. It’s affordable, easy to use and leaves my hair softer, shinier and with a subtly improved color. It doesn’t make a HUGE difference in color, but enough that I notice it and my hair looks more vibrant and healthy to other (even if they don’t notice a color “change” - which is what I want!). It definitely makes it look better! I did stop using it during the pandemic (I wasn’t going anywhere, so I stopped wearing make up, bothering with my hair, etc.) and now I can’t find it anywhere and I am distraught. I haven’t been able to find another product that works like this. I don’t want to full on dye my hair at home and I don’t want to dye it pink or blue. I just want to subtly enhance and revive my hair color in between salon visits. This product did that and made my hair feel nice as well! I have naturally dark blonde hair and this added beautiful honey tones.

I am absolutely in love with the Warm Blonde. I live in Southern Texas where the hot sun will definitely lighten your hair color. Regardless, if your hair color is natural or dyed. The Warm Blonde is so simple to use and I leave it on my hair for about 5 minutes and rinse with cool water. It leaves my hair smooth, shiny and absolutely refreshes my natural medium golden blonde hair. The product is very affordable and I haven't noticed any perfume smell at all. I have Asthma and if it had a perfume smell to it then I would definitely know. I will continue to purchase this fabulous product. I Highly Recommend NOTE: My only complaint is that during this COVID-19 Pandemic you can only order 1 (unit) bottle per month. I totally and completely understand the importance of limiting some very necessary and important items during this stressful situation that we are all ensuring. However, I do NOT in anyway shape or form believe limiting 1 (unit) bottle per month is appropriate. IT IS RIDICULOUS!!!

Really bummed that this irritates my scalp. I recently developed a severe reaction to peroxide. Already sensitive to ammonia , I had been using Demi permanent color to cover now-rapidly multiplying grays. I quit all color six months ago and have been using John Frieda brunette deepening shampoo and glaze to AMAZING results. My hair growing out is healthy and soft. (I thought aging was making my hair crap...but it was dye!) I had wanted a golden rinse to boost the caramel color the brunette deepening collection has given my grays. This works great for that with no brassiness but, alas, it also irritates my scalp. Luckily, I still have the miraculous brunette deepening line which has transformed my hair and allowed me to break free of dye! I guess I got greedy and wanted even more. ;-) The brunette glaze does not irritate my skin at all, and it really does leave a gorgeous true chocolate brown color that, like I said, is a shiny caramel beige on grays. This transformed the grays into true golden with no brass or red undertones at all. (See the picture.) The good news is that the sensitivity is fairly short-lived after washing my hair again (with the deepening brunette shampoo as usual) but it definitely burns MY skin like regular dye. Try it! But he warned if you have sensitive skin.

Have used this product each time I have washed my hair (2-3 times a week) as instructed. I have now finished the bottle and can tell no difference in my hair color. I have dark blonde hair and it did not lighten it any. I did not notice any damage to my hair from using the product. Aside from this product, my hair is untreated otherwise.

I commented to a woman how shiny her hair was once. She told me she gets it professionally glazed at a salon. I personally can't afford to have that done, but this seems just as good to me. This product is really hard to find in retail outlets anywhere, though. They once had it at our Walgreens, but I'm now ordering it on Amazon since I can't locate it anywhere any more. I have dirty blond hair, and this gloss is amazing. It comes in different hues though - for brunettes, etc. As for blondes, it comes in a warm or cool blonde, so you have to pay attention. You just apply it after shampooing (really squeeze the water out of your hair, though), wait a bit, then rinse and go. It really does add a glossy shine to your hair, just as it states. It says to repeat once when you are using it, but truthfully, I think that's a marketing ploy. One application does the trick, and it's just as shiny if you only apply it once.

The bottle was about 2 thirds full and it wasn't sealed when I received it. It really has an extremely scented smell, harsh, chemically, and over perfumed. It is easy to use. I have very light blonde color treated hair which was looking a bit dull after 12 weeks of not seeing my hair stylist. The product did deposit some color, but it didn't make the color look fresher or nicer. It's a bit yellowish and makes my color look more unnatural. It did leave a lot of shine, which is good, but not helpful at all with the color.

I love this! I have light brown/ blonde hair that's going grey & I color it with #4 natural instincts semi-permanent hair color to make the grey into blonde highlights. I use this gloss in between colorings for a nice boost. I just use it at my part line, hairline & the places where I notice a little grey coming through. It will last me many more than 6 applications stated on the bottle. It gives a nice golden shine without any appearance of being "colored". It is NOT brassy/ orange-y. It is subtle, but exactly what I'm looking for. It's a gel, not a foam. It looks brown, but doesn't stain anything. It doesn't smell great, but as hair products go, it's not bad. Leaves my hair nice & silky & shiny. My stylist has warned me that sometimes even the semi-permanent hair colors can have a build up of color on the longer parts of one's hair that can be an off-color. So it's best to stretch out the time between coloring as much as I can. So far we agree this is working very well.

I have highlights and lowlights over dyed warm brown hair. My silver hairs and natural dark brown are now advanced roots and my salon is not reopened yet. I tried this product as a temporary solution as some reviews indicated it would cover grays making them appear like highlights. I used it as directed and it did not add ANY color at all to ANY of my hair nor did it add any additional "shine" that I could detect. I think it might have made my hair feel softer? Tried it the second time I washed my hair two days later hoping that the extra attempt would be incremental with some tint. Left it in longer--about 20 minutes. Still nada. No color. No shine. Still trying to find a solution to my dilemma.
