I've bought this soap about 4 times now. I started using it during a chemotherapy phase because it had a very low scent and now I've been in remission but have continued to use it because it's just great. I think if you are someone who prefers a strong scent, this won't satisfy you. I noticed most the 1 star reviews are complaining about the lack of scent but for me it's just right. Each bar lasts me quite a while, which is nice for a more natural bar. I get at about 3-4 weeks of daily use out of a bar most the time. The scents are all nice, and being a variety, I like that I can mix it up rather than just 1 scent all the time. I've found I particularly like the rose which is not the most masculine scent ever but quite nice. My skin feels nice, clean, and the soap rinses off entirely leaving no residue behind. It's an affordable pack of soap also for being all natural. Compare this to Dr. Squatch or others and it's a really good deal.

This soap is the right soap for me. I have found out that I have to be fragrant free in order to smell good. This soap says that it has cetain scents, but I have to say there is nothing except a real soap sense. Anyone who is not familiar with natural, organic, or vegan soaps, need to know that you should not buy if you are looking to smell like some favorite fragrance. This soap will clean you well and have you smelling like nothing if you go fragrance free with laundry detergent and deoderant. I have found that in order to deodorize, you need to get rid of the odor. I have found that I am allergic to fragrances on my body. It is not necessarily from itching or rashes, but by bad odor. Imagine putting a fragrance on from deodorant soap, then the fragrance from the laundry detergent and then from underarm deodorant and maybe even body powder, etc. My body turned that into a stink bomb. It was not always like that. As I got older, I started noticing things. This is one of the problems with laundry detergent. They say they made improvements only to find out the improvements are the clothes beging to smell. Now you are putting Down Unstoppable Beads in your wash and with me, that made a bad problem worse. Now you see why Downy is offering the light scented beads now. So I went to fragrance free.I When combined with taking a shower with this soap, I then notice that there was no smell. I had thought I had lost my sense of smell. I actually smell good now thanks to this soap and others I may add. Olive Oil is different from most organic soaps that may use palm oil. I like experimenting with different soaps, but I do like the Olive Oil a lot. I still will use some other soaps, but this one is right up there at the top. You get 8 soaps instead of 6 for roughly the same price and these soaps are big and packaged well. Don't worry, they do smell the same, but the ingredients are different. That's the good thing about natural, organic, and vegan, they put real substances (oils and extracts) on your body and not chemicals. I will definely buy again.

This is a high quality soap. I wash my hands a lot, and this is not as drying as many soaps and is a good size and consistency (does not get mushy easily, but still lathers). I love the plastic-free packaging and the ingredients list. The only drawbacks in my mind are the scents. Olive oil soaps, no matter how they are scented, always have an underlying earthy scent. In all-but-1 of these, this olive oil scent overpowers the mild added scent. Those scents remain pleasant, in my opinion, if unidentifiable.... ONE of the soaps, however, had a very STRONG medicinal scent. When the package was first opened all of the soaps initially smelled like it. Once separated and allowed to air out, the other soaps lost the medicinal smell, but the soap that caused it continued to smell that way throughout its sink-life. Unfortunately, I opened 3 soaps at the same time for different sinks and threw the boxes away, so I am not certain which it was. Overall, I like the soap and will buy it again. If you specifically want pretty smells, this is not the soap you're looking for. UPDATE: I ordered a second time, and this time there was no medicinal scent.

The soap works just as well as one of the other leading brands whose name rhymes with WATCH, but way cheaper ;o)) The size is also smaller, the only thing I don't like is the way it is packaged. All the scents get mixed up and they all smell the same, like some cheap washing soap. But it gets the job done.

Bought these for my wife who was becoming envious of my own soaps. When she opened the packaging she, and I, admired the packaging and she couldn't wait to use them. She was initially worried about the scents blending together and I told her there's no need to worry as I've yet to experience that with any of the other brands of soaps I've purchased and I store them all in the same box (some with plastic/film barriers and others nothing but a cardboard sleeve.) She had nothing to worry about really since the soaps have very little scent to them at all. I'm pretty scent sensitive as a whole and all I could detect was a simple, generic "unscented" scent with each. I've experienced this with other brands before and often the scent will come out more with use. Not the case with these. So why the 3 star and not a single star? Because the soap itself is great according to my wife. It moisturizes well. Cleans well and doesn't irritate her skin in the least. Additionally, the packaging is pleasant too. She said she'll use it all, but when she's done she may not have me order more (though we'll see come winter time and the dryness usually associated with it because if the soap performs well in winter, she may reconsider and overlook the lack of scent.) All in all, if you want a soap that most likely won't dry you out, cleans well, and has little to no scent at all then Aegean is for you. If you are looking for a soap with scent, you may want to look elsewhere.
