Lightning Powder Black Latent Fingerprint Powder (2-Ounce)

I used the fingerprint powder for dusting objects that I used the cyanoacrylate fuming method to develop latent prints on for my college assignment in criminal investigations. This powder works perfectly! However, it is a bit messy and not the easiest stuff to remove off unwanted surfaces! Otherwise, I absolutely loved it, thank you so much!

We paired this with the Lightning Powder Zephyr Fiberglass Brush, and had no problems dusting for prints without any prior experience. Lots of fun for a homeschool class. The black powder has sticking power, though - beware the mess!

This was a bit messier than I realized, but it works well. I think I just didn't realize that only a small portion is needed. Once you realize that, it's great.

This is the real deal. Works absolutely great for what it's intended to do. I gave it four stars because the lid did not seal well, and twisting it inevitably caused powder to drift out and all over your hands. If you're looking for a kids project (like a Girl Scouts badge), this is not the best choice. It blows very easily, and STAINS everything from skin to counters to rugs. Wear gloves and work in a protected area.

I ordered this along with the Zephyr brush along to use for a Boy Scout activity. Things like this don't come easily to me, so I was reluctant, but this really worked! As a suggestion, we used small smooth white tiles to dust for fingerprints. The boys loved it. It is a super fine powder but it you're careful, it really is not too messy.

I got it for a forensics class, it was really a life saver.

This was great. I bought to use in the classroom and students were amazed to see their handprints revealed on a plain piece of paper. The powder can be messy so I did this under close supervision, but it was awesome and easy to use and the students loved it.

This works exactly as it should, Be careful though, it gets everywhere.

Love! Only thing picture made it seem like it would be either 2 powders or at least a big jar, but it came with very little, also not much in the jar to begin with. But great price.
