0105-011 Fuel Petcock Rebuild Repair Parts Kit Compatible with Kawasaki

I bough this for a 1985 Kawasaki zn 700 ltd. Cam with no directions, which is fine but be careful and make sure you know how it goes together before you start so you don’t damage anything, mostly the diaphragm. Now I cleaned the metal parts of my fuel petcock extremely well. So I was hopeful and confident that after installing this kit I would have a perfectly working petcock and I did, so I thought. I always shut off the fuel after riding out of habit. Well after a successful test ride I parked it and shut off the fuel. Only to come back about 24 hours later and have a fuel leak. I took the petcock apart and cleaned everything again. Put it back together and installed clear fuel line. What I found was a very slow leak that would fill the lines and leak elsewhere. So I installed an in-line fuel shut off right after the petcock and haven’t had a problem since but this is obviously not ideal.I’m not saying this product is bad but I can’t confirm it’s great either. Maybe my old petcock is bad. Not sure yet.

Quick and easy repair of a leaking KLR petcock. Removing the tank takes longer than repairing the petcock. Quick delivery. Parts fit perfect. The large round o-ring provided to seal the petcock/tank joint is correct- there is no missing “rectangular” o ring as an earlier reviewer suggested.

i've used this kit model several times. Twice to be exact in 9 years. so pretty good stuff. Both times i had a leaky petcock. This fixed it right up

It's an aftermarket kit. The round o ring isn't what you need for the KLR, it needs a rectangular ring. The other parts were fine.
