LavaHDTV Antenna with Remote Control HD-2605

I purchased two LAVA A-2605 antennas. The first one purchased was a trial case that I placed in a fringe reception area (Ocean Pines, MD.). The antenna pulls stations from the Del Mar area, receiving a total of 6 reliably. I keep the antenna pointed in one direction since getting the orientation is critical for good reception (in this case) and is not easy to re-orient without having it in view. This first antenna was received with one of the reflector elements dented, but with no consequence to its performance that I can tell.Pleased, I purchased a second antenna and installed it in Columbia MD. I keep the antenna pointed toward Baltimore. Baltimore stations are received well and D.C. area stations for the most (with this pointing direction) are received well with the exception of a couple of stations that occasionally break up. A total of 44 stations were sensed during a digital search. I have tried the antenna with a Visio TV, a Sony Bravia as well as a Hauppauge PC digital tuner board; all function well with the LAVA A-2605 antenna.In both locations, the antennas are installed in the attic. I use aPVC gray pipe (electrical) that rests on and screwed to a ply board mounted between two ceiling beams. The PVC pipe is secured just below the antenna with a 2x4 mounted across two roof rafters using a pipe clamp. The antenna sits on top of the pipe. The antenna's RG-6 cable is secured to the pipe with cable ties allowing enough play so that the antenna can rotate freely without binding the cable.

This lite antenna is very easy to put together and install. I used 2 10ft.sections of metal electrical conduit and 1 10ft. 4x4 pressure treated post.I am receving 21 channels from Atlanta Macon and Columbus Ga. area.40-65 mile range. it receives better than i expected. needs to have a directional compass included and maybe self locking rotor connection. over all cheap made but worth the price. i would recommend it. i may get more channels if i add more height. i am 15-20ft. above ground. i also have tall trees all around so i figure a little more height will produce more stations. this should be and excellent antenna in some areas.

Placed the unit on roof and picked up 31 channels. This is more than most websites indicated was possible. The set up was easy. No issues for this user.

The product was installed worked fine 2 days. than no signal contacted Lava hdtv. They asked me to install different cable it worked fine. contacted them again, they asked me to reconnect the original cable again. No success, recontacted them again waiting for response. I believe it will be resolved , there was a lot of good reviews

Arrive promptly. Assembled and I am receiving very strong signals. I have picked so many more channels. I have not even mounted it yet to second floor, just 1st floor window. Absolutely worth it. Check your location first to see how many channels you can get. Love the motor. Make sure you order the pole.

I never write reviews for the numerous products I have bought on Amazon because I am generally happy with them. If you buy this Antenna, I promise you that you will hate it & you'll remember these words from me. It's very cheaply made & only works when it feels like it. I spent hours putting this thing up on my roof on a high mast (not included) just to find out that it only rotates when it feels like it. Because you can only operate it from the inside, you will never know that it isn't rotating outside (unless you yell at your wife to keep an eye on it while you are inside). There is no way to tell from the inside which way it's pointing (when it does work) so finding the same direction again from the inside is just about impossible. It's not worth the aggravation - you'll remember these words after you purchase this item!!! (By the way, I have been an Electronic Technician for the past 37 years and have installed many antennas over the years - this one sucks!)

The remote control does not turn the antenna. It was impossible to change the direction of the antenna once it was installed. I purchased it from Amazon using my Master card. I had previously purchased the same antenna for another home and the remote for that antenna worked fine.

We are very satisfied with our antenna. We watch the shows we want and we are cable free. We get several channels.
