NVX Professional Grade 100% OFC 16 Gauge True Spec EnvyFlex Speaker Wire - 75 feet [XWS1675]

Reviewing the 12AWG silver tinned cable. UNBELIEVABLE. WATCH MY VIDEO to see the difference. I got the same length and gauge from Basics and that is a very good deal too but for indoor use, at only 12 cents more per foot, this is incredible. I don't even need any more and I still want to buy some for the future because I can't imagine such a bang for the buck product like this ever again. Also, I'm one of those guys that doesn't think cables make a difference if you use the same quality of copper and connectors. I use banana plugs and to make the test unfair I used 10ft of this cable vs 2ft of Basics OFC 12AWG cable. In theory the 2ft should be a little louder and clearer but nope, the 10ft length of this cable with the same connector beat 2ft of 99.9o% OFC of the same gauge. Also it's so flexible thanks to the quality of sheath and also the thinness of the strands in each wire. So for example, you could have two 12AWG solid copper wires in each half of the cable, or you could have many little ones that add up to 12 gauge. The more thin ones that are used, the more flexibility but also better conductivity because of the skin effect (current flows preferentially on the surface of the wire so solid wire is less efficient. That's worth a thumbs up no?)

This is very good audiophile speaker wire it is true 12 awg, it is OFC, silver plated, thick insulation and the conductors are in a rope lay configuration this makes for a cable with very low resistance less "skin effect" and the spacing of the conductors is good for low capacitance and inductance as well realistically this is the best speaker wire you could have for an audiophile system given good connectors and labeling this wire has a good feel to it as well very flexible but durable. if you need a thicker gauge of wire for higher power levels i would recommend sky high car audio for its true 8 awg ofc wire though higher capacitance thick wire is generally used for subwoofers where effects like high frequency roll off is not an issues this is great for the speakers in your doors as it is flexible and low capacitance where high frequency roll off could be effected by the wire

I am lazy when it comes to writing reviews, but I loved this speaker wire so much a) because of how soft pliable it is b) the way it sits on the floor, and c) because of the high strand count, that I couldn't help but give it a positive review. It is slightly difficult to splice but once you figured it out it's fine. I used a splicer and cut with the 12 guage portion, since it didn't cut all the way, slightly torqued with my fingers and the pulled the cut part out. Highly recommended, and will buy again.

Cable feels solid until you start to strip the sheath. The strands are brittle and it’s hard to keep it intact. The insulation is very hard and the cable being flat and not round makes it harder to strip. Used it for surround speakers and sounds fine though.

Excellent quality cable for speakers. It is doble insulated tinned wire for easy soldering and durability. Highly recommended.
