Great Deck Screws
I used these (#9 x 3") for the planking on my deck. It's 825 sq.ft, so I needed about 3800 screws (yes, it's almost 35' x 25'. The previous owners thought that that was a great idea, and then never took care of it). I got two packs of 2000. Out of all of those, 8 were defective. 7 had an inclusion in the star drive on the head, which means that the bit can't engage properly. The other one was just weird, bent all funny and the threads were super thin. 8 out of 4000 is a 0.2% defective rate. I'm super happy with that. None of the screws broke, but then I did drill pilot holes for all of them. I love the bronze finish. It looks great with pressure treated pine. From 6ft away it looks basically like the same color as the wood. After staining it will presumably look different, but bronze is still a more neutral color than that ugly yellow the box stores sell. Every now and again I wouldn't press down hard enough on the driver and the bit would slip. Most of the time this didn't mar the surface finish on the head of the screw. When it really gets out of hand (not putting enough pressure on the driver, holding it at a funny angle, full power while not yet fully engaged), the finish does come off on the inner corners of the stars. That's to be expected. It just takes quite a bit more abuse than I'm used to with regular yellow epoxied screws. All in all, I'm very happy. The pergola is next on the list and I'm definitely buying more Power Pro screws for that.

Very sturdy, very functional, comfortable on your fingers
I've used half of the box, and not had a single screw strip out, bend, or otherwise malfunction. I have not tested these in weather yet. One somewhat strange thing I love about these screws is how comfortable they are to work with. It's one of those things that you don't really consider when you're buying screws, but there's nothing worse than getting metal splinters in your fingers every time you grab/use a screw. These are smooth, and have no jagged/sharp edges. But they grab and sink into wood without any trouble. I've been using a Dewalt impact driver with these, which is a nice drill. But I've had plenty of trouble with other types of screws while using the same drill. The torx bit grips onto the screws extremely well, and sometimes even has trouble letting go after you sink them. Nothing troubling, but the grip may occasionally overpower your bit-magnet, pulling your bit from your drill. Only had this happen a couple times. A bit lock will help with this if you don't mind using pliers to change bits. I definitely recommend these Hillman screws so far. That goes for all sizes they come in.

Quality screws
Does what you want a screw to do! Nice sharp tip, good holding power for a small, thin screw, countersinks well, even in dense OSB sub flooring. Very little trouble with snapping or breaking hard wood. I plan to purchase a second bucket for screwing the lap siding to the plastic strips of a ICF house. Recommended product!

Easy to install without stripping the head.
Good deck type screw that needs no peeseilling. Coating makes it easier to install. And the star screw head gives the bit good grip almost eliminating stripping out. The star drill bit is included in every box of screws. Why did you pick this product vs others?: Better choice over a Phillips head screw that can round out easily.

Built two raised gardens using these screws. A+
Build two raised gardens with enclosures using these screws. One was an 8'x16', another L-shaped 11' each side. Used a combination of 2x6 planks, as well as 2x2 lumber. The 2x2 was used as the permanent overall structure, posts and all, doubled up where needed, and the planks were bolt on so to speak. Kind of like those kits you see online, only better, sturdier, and far cheaper. As you can imagine, it took a LOT of wood. I went through three (3) 500 piece boxes. In that time, I had less than a handful of pieces split on me, and not a single piece that was part of the structure. Now I'm not saying there aren't better screws out there, but I know first hand these got the job done without issue for my need. There's nothing more frustrating than drilling into something, only for it to split on you. Especially with 2x2's.
