Beautifully crafted
Beautifully crafted cups I bought these for my pour over coffees Material and design are top notch. If you plan to use it for coffee, I'd say it hits home with espresso or moka. Wide mouth design tends to mute acidity and bitterness, specially great for high intensity drinks but so much for filter coffee. Solid buy. Highly recommend!

Great to use. Novel gift to give.
I enjoy my whiskey "neat". I read about these glasses in an article and decided to treat myself and my brother to a holiday gift. I don't know if it's my imagination playing games or if the marketing crap is actually right, but I do think it enhances the smell of the beverage without burning your nose by the alcohol. If you drink bottom shelf whiskey, save your money. This glass won't make a bad whiskey better. However, if you enjoy a better whiskey, I think you'll enjoy this experience. I have about six different kinds of whiskey in my cupboard at any time. These glasses make it easier to appreciate the differences. Not related to the glass, just some advice. If you truly want to enjoy your whiskey of choice, do the "Kentucky swish" first. Take a small sip and swish it all around your mouth, over your tongue, gums, etc. just like mouthwash. Now drink the whiskey as you would normally. With your mouth tuned up, you will taste more and burn less. (With the Neat glass you will smell more too!)

I can easily inhale and savor the aromas while taking a sip
For me, the Glencairn never quite seemed to fit - I could nose well enough, but the alcohol sting often overpowered me a bit, and I couldn't actually smell much of anything while sipping. The NEAT addresses both concerns handily. I certainly have no trouble nosing with it; in fact, I can discern scents I could not before in familiar spirits. I can even pick up plenty of alcohol burn (I must be sensitive.) But where the NEAT really shines is when actually sipping. I can easily inhale and savor the aromas while taking a sip, and the shape of the rim distributes the contents evenly across my palate - rather than straight down the middle. Overall, a very enjoyable drinking glass that's still top notch for nosing. Unlike the Glencairn and Vinum glasses, this one manages to hit all the right notes simultaneously. I can see why some still prefer the Glencairn or a Copita style glass, but this one might be more suitable for introducing mere mortals to the joy and wonder of sipping fine spirits. For that reason, I'd strongly recommend adding one to your collection.

Jury is still out of they really make a difference
They are nice looking and you can definitely get a good aroma from the spirit it contains, but still not sure it really enhances the aroma. I did a side-by-side tasting next to one of my glencairn glasses and I didn't really notice much difference. Considering you typically let the spirit "breathe" for a while anyway, the ethanol kind of dissipates equally in both glasses. If anything, the glencairn focuses the scent better. Also, it's a little weird to drink out of the glass, especially when you get to the last sip! They do have a nice weight to them and are comfortable in hand; however, I purchased two and one broke within the first month! Overall, I'll continue to use the one remaining glass that I have, but won't replace it when it eventually breaks.

Versatile
These glasses offer a tasting experience that fuses the benefits of a snifter and a glen cairn glass. It's great for casual sipping of any type of whiskey - scotch, bourbon, rye, Irish. That said, "The right tool for the right job gets the job done right." If you're hosting a formal event, pour your spirits into whisky specific glasses rather than these fine generics.

Has become my go to whiskey glass
When I first got these I wasn't sure if I liked them. The look and quality of them was great but they took some getting used to when it came to drinking out of them. The lip of the glass is different than any glass I've ever used. The way they are shaped keeps your lips about 1/2 an inch away from the liquid. This separation makes it a bit more difficult to precisely regulate how big of a sip you are taking. It gets easier with practice but at first I wasn't sure how I felt about it. It sort of feels like the whiskey is falling in to your mouth because of how the glass is shaped. Now that I've gotten used to it I actually prefer it. I hardly ever use my glencairn glass now and when I do it's only because I feel like I need to give its turn every once in a while.

Does as advertised!
If you have a difficult time drinking your Scotch neat, this may be a big help. My wife likes to try my drinks, but has a difficult time getting past the nose burn. She's still not a Scotch fan, but I think I'm getting closer to a break through! Anywho, the glass allows so much more flavor to be discerned. It has given me new appreciation to some of my cheaper blends. The only drawback I have with these glasses is they are awfully thin. I get a little nervous when washing them. They seem like they'd easily crack if I accidentally clinked one against something much more solid....like a box of tissues. I would love to see these made of a lead-free crystal. That said, I'm not going to ding my rating for that. After all, it's not the product's fault that my hands have the dexterity of Captain Hook. Cheers, you scallywags.
