This is a must have for cold beds in winter. Place it under your bottom sheet and plug it in. Within 5 minutes you start to feel the warmth, and within 25 minutes it reaches max warmth - a pleasant 27-28 deg, or upto 32 degrees depending on setting. There are 2 settings - high and low. High consumes about 75 watts, and low is half of that. To get proper benefit, the blanket MUST be covered. Otherwise it loses its warmth to surrounding air too quickly. The soft material it's made off already adds to the warmth. The size is a little smaller than a full size bed, buy careful positioning is important. Also - the wire comes out from the left only, buy it's long enough to reach plug on either side. For those afraid of electricity - note that there is NO danger at all from this blanket.
