I've used this on camping trips in the arctic and amazon rainforest - it works well for that- quite light weight but heavy enough to be durable, not flap around too much in the wind and to cover a large enough area. I used it to change clothes on and arrange my stuff so it doesn't get lost on the forest floor. It would also work well as a small tarp, but I've not used it for that.

what a great buy this is , keeps you dry when the ground is wet , it can be pegged down so it does not lift or blow away , it's not quite large enough to lie fully stretched out on without your feet hanging over ime 5'9 inc . it is very compact and easy to keep with you .

Needed a lightweight portable tarp for a lightweight hike I am doing. This fits the bill perfectly. Packs up very small and weighs under 200g fits in pocket, Pack or clips to belt with Karabina provided. Not fully tested in wet conditions yet but so far very pleased

Really came in handy for a music festival I attended this past weekend. Very light weight tarp, durable, water resistant, and thin enough to stow away in a bag without taking up too much room. Performance was unmatched! Size was perfect for 4-6 people to fit comfortably.

I know a lot of reviews on Amazon come from people who received a product at a discount or even free. I paid full price for these blankets and am writing this review because they truly are awesome. I ordered two and will definitely be adding more a day gifting then to my friends and family. First off this blanket is actually water-PROOF, not just resistant. That is huge for me both in a camping/hiking/survival situation and also just for sitting around the campfire or at a concert. Most blankets soak through very quickly, not this one; it keeps me totally dry. I can use it as a shelter or rain fly if needed and I feel confident I will stay dry. Secondly I love the grommets for staking it down and also the sand pockets. These pockets are often overlooked but are actually very smart. I don't always have stakes on me, like out with the family or just around our firepit or at the beach, but if it's windy I can grab some rocks or sand and pack the sand pockets at each corner and viola, a sturdy windproof blanket virtually anywhere. If you like being outdoors for any reason, grab a couple of these. They pack down tiny and literally will fit in your pocket. Throw them in your hiking, hunting, school or beach bag.
