This works great for harvesting Papaya. Those trees just keep getting taller and you can only use while they are still relatively short. As they get taller a ladder gets harder and more dangerous to use. Also you typically only pick 1 or 2 fruits at a time so getting the ladder out seems really inefficient. This picker makes it fast and easy. The extension length is really good and you can grip the fruit firmly. In fact for ripe fruit you have to be careful not to grip too hard or you'll put small dents in them. This picker is very well constructed. There are some plastic parts so I recommend you store it out of direct sunlight when not in use. I'm planning to keep using this for many years and don't want to take a chance on constant exposure to sunlight eventually weakening the plastic parts. Very happy with this purchase.

Best I have ever used. Got the six foot version,, good to more than ten feet. I have tried virtually every commercial version of a pole picker, and this is the best. Slightly heavy, but strong enough to withstand normal abuse. Three fingers means it works for thinning fruit like peaches, apple or plums, unlike the bag collectors. Extension mechanism commercial grade. Costs more to make, but absolutely functional.. it came in a strong cardboard carton, zero damage. Six stars. (Maybe my first, for numerous reviews. )

This product beats the old fashioned wire basket on the end of a poll product. I was concerned that it wouldn't hold the orange tight enough to pull it from the tree. Well it does. It makes the job of picking oranges much easier than the old wire basket product.

Has made apple picking this fall much easier. Reach is such that I can grab apples and bring them down cleanly.

Used for oranges and apples. It's well built. You can use a twisting action with it as well as just pulling the fruit off. Better than the wire basket picker for fruit that wants to hang on tight to the tree.

Wish I got this sooner. I’m using it so far for papaya will use for tangerine and lemon when in season. Works really well for Papaya! Other pickers are to small and don’t work with tight clustered fruit. Grabs the fruit secure without damaging it. The only negative I can see is the jaws that grab the fruit are plastic so not sure how they will hold up. There is some flex when twisting the fruit off. Would be 5++?stars if they were made with metal.

Started working great. Thought i found my answer to picking my fruit,,....but,,,,after. About 15 minutes of use the...thing stopped working !!! The fingers would not close to pick fruit....so now ii have a $90.00 extendable stick of $10.00 aluminum....going to c ontact mfg...let ya know....for now do not buy. Not worth your time..,..
