Beauty & the Beast [Blu-ray] [Region Free]

So write up a review of the movie. My guess is no one would care to read it anyway. There are thousands on Amazon already (that I promptly ignore anyway in favor of movie review sites). Instead I'm reviewing the disk. Yes, this is a UK Blu-ray. However, when you receive it you'll see it is a region free disk. Blu-ray's are divided into 3 geographical regions. A, B, and C. The US is in A whereas the UK is in B. However, there is a little icon on the back that looks like three hexagons with an A, B, and C in them. This means the disk will play in any region of the world. I am in the US and I had no problems with playing the disk in my Blu-ray player. I also read people saying they received counterfeit discs. Well, I can't say what others received, but I received what appears to be a genuine Disney Blu-ray. The case, jacket, and disc itself all appeared high quality and original. As far as languages go, yes the disc includes many languages but the first one in the list was English. I don't really mind that it also has a Hindi audio track as long as English is on there. The reality is I bought this version for a fraction of what the US version is currently going for so I couldn't be happier.

all the Disney movies are great and enjoy them all. Plays great and enjoyable to watch no matter how old or young you may be.

A classic! This is a movie good for all ages and has a great message. The story for those who don't know it: Belle is an "unusual girl" according to her whole town. This is because she lives in a time where women don't typically read or have their own thoughts. Her dad is an inventor and ends up lost in the woods and finds a castle where he is impressed by the owner. The castle is owned by what used to be a prince, but was turned into a beast. The prince was a jerk and ticked off an enchantress and she turned him into a beast. He needed to have a kiss from a "true love" in so many years or he would be a beast forever. Well let's just say the daughter of the inventor, Belle, goes looking for her dad and meets the beast...I won't spoil it. A great movie and great quality. I'm not a huge musical fan but the songs are so catchy!

The only regret I have is not buying this sooner! I love this movie, and it's always been my favorite, but I haven't seen it in years. I was super dissapointed when I saw that it was in the "Disney Vault" and not available for purchase or rent, and when I saw this "UK import" business I was extremely skeptical, especially after seeing some bad reviews of the disc not working on certain players and such. But, I was aching to watch this movie after my recent trip to Disney World where I met Belle. I caved and purchased the movie and I am so glad I did! This blue ray worked great on my Xbox One and the picture was incredible. The blue ray offered the extended and theatrical versions of the movie and some bonus features. It played great. The only reason I'm thinking these imports might not work on a player is if it is really old, or there's just a user error and someone is trying to play it on their plain DVD player or what have you. The only downside to purchasing one of these is that I am sure that it doesn't hold the long term value of a US released version, but if the movie itself is more important to you, I would definitely recommend. Now going to buy all of the UK imports I can get my hands on...

I'll make no bones about it, I love the Beauty and the Beast Disney movie. When my daughter finally started branching out from her favorite, Brave, I was so excited to be able to introduce Beauty and the Beast to her. Only, Disney had vaulted it, and used copies were very, very expensive. I had a VHS version, but hadn't bought myself a copy when it was readily available, of course. So, I was really happy to see this UK import blu-ray version. While DVDs can't play other region DVDs, there aren't regions to blu-rays, so I knew that she could watch the disc without a problem. She really enjoyed, and more, I had a new blu-ray copy of the movie to watch as well. The transfer is good, the movie itself is good -- and passing down a Disney film you enjoy is just priceless.

one of my favorite disney movies i ove it especially the deleted scenes which show extra scenes thr coulr of been arrived quicker then expected & was super happy

I was afraid to order based upon some allegations of piracy and copies that do not work. I ordered mine through A-B-C Titles & Media, and it is authentic, works fine, and fabulous quality. So happy to find this at a reasonable price give that it is locked in the Disney vault. If you order from A-B-C Titles & Media, you should get a great copy.

Just received this today and it wouldn't play.. Tried it in my computer and tried it on our DVD players...it didn't work on any of them. I am not sure why it didn't work but am thinking it is because it is not purchased in the USA..and our computers know that..at least mine does.. So I could not honestly recommend this to anyone unless you may live in the UK.. I am seriously disappointed..
