Large countertop oven, toaster, and air fryer - works very well -meets my needs
I bought this oven for a couple of reasons. 1- I needed a replacement for my previous Black and Decker convection toaster oven. That one lasted for at least 14 years. My previous toaster oven of other brands lasted at most two years. So I am impressed with the quality especially at a reasonable cost. Now the previous model is still available but at twice the price I paid in 2010 or 11. Understandable. For a few dollars more I could choose this oven which is large enough to put my 9 by 12 Pyrex dish with handles. My previous B&D baked with a more consistent quality than my large oven without heating up the kitchen. This one does the same. 2. I needed something larger than before as my stove oven just is not reliable anymore. It never cooked evenly anyway. I wanted to be able to use that Pyrex dish for cooking cakes and casseroles. This model does it evenly. I have tested the air fryer and it works well and pretty quickly. Toast comes out very evenly toasted at whatever setting you choose... light, medium or dark. I am not sure if the fan comes on for baking or not. I don't hear it like I can when air frying but whether it does or not, everything comes out evenly cooked as though it was convection. (My hearing is somewhat limited) The only thing I don't like is the knobs which is less precise than digital but is also much more durable and economical. I can live with that. There is no interior light but where I have it sitting in the corner of my cabinet, the kitchen light shines in it anyway. That also is no big deal. I have given this model 5 stars because it deserves it. This is a good model. It is not as fancy as some digital models but will probably last a lot longer. The craftsmanship was built into the things that really count. It also looks nice sitting in the corner of my kitchen counter. It fits well there and my kitchen is not very large. Having this newer model means that I can cook a turkey in my stove oven and fix the dressing or other side dishes in this smaller but very much more convenient oven.

Replacing same convection oven with Air Frying feature
BLACK+DECKER Model# TO3265XSSD Crisp 'N Bake Air Fry Toaster Oven Purchased this oven to replace a similar sized Black & Decker Toaster Oven due to the top control switch Toast selection stopped working. The switch part was no longer available due to the oven being discontinued. The main differences between the two ovens this one’s all stainless steel compared to black trim and the previous model was convection which has a similar fan as the new unit but is an Air Fryer. Was very satisfied with the old toaster oven; however, “upgrading” to this new model Black & Decker I believe really missed an opportunity here. Convection is simply a fan inside the oven moving the hot air around to ideally provide even and faster cooking. Air Frying is similar but the temperature is higher. I could not find any information in the manual or online regarding the temperature for the Air Fryer setting. Purchased a Taylor oven thermometer and put it in the new oven, after ten minutes on Air Fryer selection the internal temperature was 525°F steady. Unfortunately, that’s it, there’s no going lower. This could have been a great convection air fryer combination unit. Once you move the dial to the lower temperature markings the internal fan turns off. Another quirk is the accuracy of the Temperature setting on the knob compared to the actual internal temperature. Set the dial at 400°F, after ten minutes the internal temp was 350°F fluctuating +25°F/-0°F. Unfortunately, we want our appliances cheap, I mean inexpensive, and thus the cheap Chinesium components won’t provide the accuracy or longevity of those items made in the ‘70’s & ‘80’s. So, invest in an oven thermometer and tinker with the knob to find where the actual results will be. A nice bonus is the wire rack, crumb tray and baking pan from the old unit fits the new so there’s extra parts just in case. I did just make a frozen pizza in the new oven and following the baking instructions, rotating the pie occasionally then using the air fryer feature for the last three minutes produced a perfectly crisp crust and lightly browned cheese pizza. YUMMY! I’d give this oven a solid 8 out of 10 rating, doinking it for the temperature accuracy and fan tuning off as described earlier. Hope this review was helpful.

Good
I tend to like Black & Decker products so that is why I bought this toaster oven. It has an air fryer option but I have never used an air fryer before and did not buy it for that reason. I did try the air fryer option with french fries and it cooked them really well! The toaster works great. And using it as an oven is great too. It cooks everything well. I like the size as you can put more slices of bread at a time or have enough room for bagels and not crowd them. It came with the air fryer basket and another pan you can use. I found it to be a good value.

Worst Toaster Oven I've EVER owned… and I’m OLD!
This toaster oven/air fryer started out great. And by that, I mean it worked. Which is a pretty low bar for a brand new, never used, appliance. That bar, however quickly became pie in the sky unobtainable for this cheap, poorly designed, and terribly manufactured piece of garbage (literally, because the garbage is where it ended up just SIX MONTHS after purchasing!). As I said, it worked, right out of the box. It turned on, it got hot, it (usually) turned off when the timer was up. Sadly, ALL of these most basic of functions were well beyond the technical abilities of the pitiful excuse for an “Industrial Designer” and the slave labor employing, cost cutting ineptitude of the Third World “Manufacturer” that Black and Decker outsourced this loser to. Within a month, ALL of the controls became as sketchy and unreliable as your sister’s unemployed “drummer” boyfriend. The Temperature selector would occasionally hit our intended target, though not nearly often enough to be considered, by any definition of the word, “accurate”. And that knob eventually (6 months) gave up its valiant struggle with mediocrity, and just stopped trying. The “Timer” never really functioned in the realm of actual “time”. Its range of motion from new, only covered one direction, forward. If you missed your target time for cooking on the first spin, too bad, Einstein, because there’s no going backwards. Time only marches on for this machine. Your two choices are burnt food or skipped meals. I mean, seriously, what knobs only turn in one direction? That seems harder to engineer than just doing it right. The entire machine just stopped working before the six month anniversary of this bad decision, and this glorious testament to sub standard manufacturing became an oversized place holder on our kitchen counter, wasting more real estate than a Time Share in Syria, while we searched for what is apparently a Holy Grail appliance; a toaster oven that actually does even a small percentage of what the pretty, full color photos on cardboard box it comes in claims it’ll do. I know. Call me a dreamer. Added Note: For the adventurous among you that have already purchased this abomination and are currently experiencing its painful inadequacy, do a quick YouTube search for this Black and Decker model and add “troubleshooting” to your search. There are an enormous number of videos of intrepid tinkerers taking their lives in their hands by opening up the case and trying to “fix” the shoddy workmanship found inside. Wires that are only partially connected… or not connected at all, a lack of heat insulation or even basic safety components, wires that glow red hot when the appliance is plugged in, the list of problems seems as long as the component parts listed for this junk in the “manual”. Its an insurance nightmare waiting to happen. But be forewarned, you can’t “fix” stupid.

The temps are a big problem.
Since the return window closed I contacted B&D. The oven was under warranty so I got a replacement for seven bucks shipping and didn't have to send the old one back which will go into recycling. I'll be getting the new one in about a week or so (first week of March) and will first check the temps with our oven thermometer. If this one is the same I'll ask for a refund and get another brand. I am changing my rating to one star from three stars. The temp testing I gave was in an empty oven with an oven thermometer. This time I checked it while baking foods. Across the dial the actual temp is about 50° f. from what is stated on the dial. A loaf of bread took over two hours to bake while playing with the temp dial trying to get the right temp. This was the final straw. I will not buy B&D again and it is a big let down over the 20 year old B&D toaster oven we should have kept. I will be contacting for a return. The actual temperature of baking is not what is on the dial. On mine it is most accurate at 350° f on the dial. A the setting 450° f. on the dial it is about 425° f. actual on an oven thermometer and 425 on the dial reads just under 400° on the oven thermometer. On the lower end at 250 on the dial setting it is around 200° f. on the oven thermometer. This part is two days later. I did get to check the air fryer setting with an oven thermometer. It temperature is 450° f. The temp can't be set at any other temp and some air fry needs to be done below 400° I'll keep to using our dedicated air fryer instead of this. I haven't checked the air fryer temps but I know it's not what our dedicated air fryer is as far as temps. The toast function works well when you find the setting you like for darkness. Still trying to decide if I'll send it back or not but I would not buy another B&D toaster oven because of this and can't recommend this model to anyone. A shame because we got almost 20 years of great service from the one this replaces.

Love this toaster over/air fryer.
I ordered the Black and Decker toaster oven online and when it arrived I was a little surprised by the size of it. (21” wide x 11” high). However, it fit perfectly in my baker’s rack and it has become the appliance I use the most. Because of the larger size you can cook a small frozen pizza. The heating is even and it has the power to cook a small meal. It is all stainless steel and has a very nice appearance. I’ve read through the manual and although I may never use all the features it has, it is my go-to for quick meals. Strong, but easy to lift, has a very sturdy feel. Great product

For the Money, its great!! (update)
This unit is really really good for the money. I rarely use my standard oven anymore because 90% of what I bake fits in this (This thing fits 13x9 baking dishes, yassss!). It does take up a fair amount of counter space compared to my old no frills toaster oven, but its so much more useful with the extra space inside. The outside surfaces do get hot much like on my previous small unit. I pull this out slightly and make sure there are a few inches clear all the way around when using. I was really interested in experimenting with air frying various things and this allows for that. I would caution that the air fryer function does not let you control temperature, so you may need to vary time on recipes calling for lower temps in the air fryer. For the price point and all the other functions, this doesn't bother me. I have had really good luck with the broiler/grill function on this too. On mine, there is a bit of heat bias towards the rear, but I have never had an oven that broils 100% evenly and if you pay attention and adjust its perfectly fine. My biggest gripe anywhere on the unit is the smooth knobs. If you have even a hint of oil on your hands its comically impossible to turn the timer knob back to Off. Grippier knobs would of been nice! Overall, I am very happy with it! Update - After 1 year and a month I'v started having a lot of problems. The control knob that you use to select function or oven temp has locked up to the point of needing to be turned with pliers. The mechanism must have went bad as the oven no longer holds a consistant temperature and is unusable. I expected this to last longer so I am a bit dissapointed.
