Like rice cakes, but grain free
These are largely flavorless disks of popped buckwheat, not unlike the largely flavorless disks that are rice cakes. They do have a flavor -- buckwheat or kashi. They remind me of the flavor of puffed wheat cereal I ate sometimes as a kid (which I think was the same thing as Sugar Smacks or Honey Smacks, but with out the super sweet coating. Strangely, I preferred the unsugary kind as a kid.) If you are unaware, buckwheat is not a grain in the sense that it's not a grass seed. It is related to rhubarb, and has little phylogenetic relationship to 'wheat'. Weirdly, I am allergic to most grains, including rice. Buckwheat has become a staple grain-like thing for me. It's pretty hard to find grain-free things that are substitutes for breads or crackers, so I'm delighted to discover these. They taste so much like the puffed wheat of my childhood that I had to scrutinize the ingredients when I got these. Which is hard, because there's a lot of fine print and multiple languages (and mostly Cyrillic text). In the upper right corner on the back is actually some English: "ENG Crispbreads 'Buckwheat crispbreads with vitamins' Specialized food product of dietetic and preventive nutrition intended for consumption as additional source of dietary fiber for children over 3 years and adults. I like buckwheat, so it tastes good. These come handy when I need a low calories bread replacement since I am trying to follow low carb diet.

They did not live up to my expectations. I spit out my first bite.
I did not like the taste or the texture. I experienced my first buckwheat cakes in the Shuk in Jerusalem and I loved them and brought as many packages as I had room for in my suitcase home with me. Unfortunately I am unable to get them on line. They have no web site. So I went on line looking for another maker of buckwheat cakes and found only this one. Unfortunately for me and for this company the taste and texture was not what i was looking for in a buckwheat cake. I would have become a regular customer. What was great about this company was that the product was delivered free of charge and it arrived within just a few days. I was very surprised and happy with the service. Unfortunately I was not with the product.

Too high price
I bought this crisp bread on different site and liked it. Found on Amazon. My fault… I didn’t pay attention on weight, thinking it was the same as from that site. This packages are half smaller for the same price. I haven’t opened them yet. But won’t order again. That site was out of stock of this crispies, I should just wait …

These are good instead of eating any kind of bread or rice cakes for me. Buckwheat it’s one of my health foods.
