Works as it should. Been using for few years

I received my heater on the 20th and it was in good condition and worked great. It kept the water temperature at a set 78degrees....BUT TODAY....only 6 days later, when I was doing my 50% water change, I came to find out that the glass had popped! Fortunately non of the glass had broken off while inside of the tank. Only once I removed it, did it finally fall apart. I a very disappointed that this happened and my husband and I do not understand why it happened. It was placed by the filter so that a constant flow of water would move pass it as recommended. So what would cause it to pop. In my opinion, it is really unsafe for aquariums. ****UPDATE**** Two days after posting my review I was contacted by the Mylivell seller though email to rectify the problem. I am highly satisfied with their costumer service and professionalism. They were very sincere and prompt in their replies. As of right now, I have the new heater in our 36gal. It has been six days since the setup of our new tank and the heater appears to be doing fine. Just as the previous heater did, this one is also keeping the water at the set temperature. My husband and I genuinely hope that the popping of the glass tube on the previous heater was just an isolated event and will not happen again. But If another issue should occur I will be sure to post an update.1/17/20

Straight out of the box, the heater looks nice, nicer than I had expected for $13. It shows the coiling inside of the heater which gives a cool industrial appearance. That’s as far as I got though. The glass feels thin when holding it, a bit thicker than a light bulb but not a lot, at least not compare to other heaters that I’ve had. Anyways, as I was setting it up in the tank, I set it down too quickly and it cracked in half leaving shards of glass in the carpet. Thankfully it wasn’t in the tank when it broke as I can’t imagine replacing all the gravel in a 75 gallon tank on Christmas Eve.. Either way, if you’re willing to risk it, it looks cool and has decent instructions

Works perfect! I got a 300w for my 55 gallon and keeps the temperature at 80-82 degrees just how I need it to be but it is a little bit off and you do need to preset the temperature higher than what u want it to be but it was not a problem for me. It also turns off and on as needed. Great suction and warmth overall a good heater!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Works great on my tank. My turtle loves to hang out by the heater for warmth.

Be sure to read and understand the directions thoroughly especially how to turn the unit on and off while setting the temperature.

Lasted 4 years and it finally stop working. Pretty good for the price so I ordered another one!
