PG Tips One Cup Original Tea Bags (Pack of 1, Total 1100 Tea Bags)

I've been drinking PG Tips for years. I love this tea. Picked up the habit when I was going to college in London. Love a good cuppa. PG Tips is awesome. This tea is worth the buy and I'd buy it again.

I should have opened this up and inspected it before the window to return closed. I'd bought a bag of these normally pyramidal shaped bags previously, and decided to buy an extra for the pantry since the quality and price were as good as small quantities i'd purchased earlier. Such a disappointment! The bags are flimsy, flat instead of pyramidal, and few of them can be used without using scissors to cut them apart. The container bag has a layer of loose tea in the bottom from broken bags. Don't dare try to pull them apart with your fingers or both bags will tear. I liked the strong tea and i preferred the pyramid bags BECAUSE i didn't have to tear anything apart! I compared. I made a glass of tea with a pyramidal bag and one with the flat bag. The color seems similar, but the tea in the flat bags is most analogous to drinking flat beer.

I'm writing this review several months after my purchase. Shame on me after 20 years of drinking this tea that I didn't read the fine print. It says decaffeinated. I did not relize PG made decaffeinated tea. The listing say decaf but the packaging doesn't so I have no idea what in the world I got. The "pyramid" were smooshed and had only a little tea in them. Took extra bags to brew my normal strength pot of tea. Now today after received a new order (from a different Amazon store) I received flat tea bags even though the listing said "original pyramid". What is going on? These discrepanies is what made me write this review. My new purchase today 4/25/24 is suppose to be black tea, the listing at the very bottom of the comparision chart says it's English Breakfast. If my first or second cup of PG tea years ago tasted like my previous purchase I would never have brought PG tea home from England with me. Back 20 years ago (& b4 Amazon) PG tea was difficult to find in the local grocery stores. I had fallen in love with it on my first visit to England. 2nd trip back I packed extra ziplock bags to pack as much tea in my suitcase as I could to bring home. Even today not many carry PG, if they do it's in small boxes. Maybe time to find a better tea.

Almost the whole listing is wrong. The pictures show 1100 count bag of pyramid bags. What you get is 1100 count of flat "one-cup" bags. Less tea per bag. To get the flavour I love from a pyramid bag, I have to use 2 or 3 of these bags. Very disappointed. I thought this was a great way to get the tea I love. Nope. Still pg tips and multiple bags get you better flavour just be aware of what your buying. Also NOT decaf. In details of item it says they are decaf, don't buy if wanting decaf. FYI apparently PG Tips discontinued the pyramid bags in 2023. So if can find any and you love them, you may want to stock up while you can.

Love the tea. I think packing this way is a bit like a bag of laundry. Just my take! Again, great tea! thanks

This is not the original PG Tips anymore. PG Tips used to be no less but awesome tea. Ever since Unilever/Lipton took over the quality has gone down. Now I have to use 3 bags for a pot of tea instead of 2 and it smells and tastes diffent/worse. I hate to say, but no more PG Tips for us anymore. Too bad we bought a bag of 1100 pcs.

Die Packung war unten durch den Versand vermutlich etwas aufgegangen, aber Versand war schnell und den Tee lieb ich von allen Schwarztees am meisten. Er ist stark und macht angenehm wach. Lecker schmeckt er auch.

Son bolsas más pequeñas, es la versión para catering con tazas chicas. El vendedor debe de especificar que no es el té original. Las bolsas tienen menos té.

Worth the money. I think the friends I bought them for enjoyed them?
