Comfortable, Adjustable, and Effective Knee Support
Note: I was not paid or compensated for this review; all opinions are entirely my own. I’m an avid hiker and go out almost every week or every other week and snow hikes are my absolute favorite. Living in the NYC/North NJ area gives me access to many great trails, and I regularly hike throughout New Jersey and upstate New York with my friends and spouse. At least once a month, we also plan longer hikes with a larger group. Over time, I began experiencing knee discomfort, especially on longer hikes (8+ miles) and mountain trails. Looking for extra support and protection, I decided to try the Bodyprox Patella Tendon Knee Straps. I’ve now used them on 6-7 mid-range hikes (around 8–10 miles each), and they’ve performed consistently well. They provide noticeable knee support and stay securely in place throughout the hike without slipping or requiring frequent adjustments. For the price, the level of support is very impressive. The straps are comfortable, flexible, and highly adjustable, making it easy to get the right fit. Overall, I’ve had a great experience and would confidently recommend them to anyone dealing with knee issues—whether for running, long walks, or medium to long hikes.

Helps reduce my knee pain significantly
Update after 4 weeks of use: Went on an international trip for a week where I walked anywhere between 14,000 - 18,000 steps each day - some of it was on flat terrain and some days had lot of ups and downs including a few hundred steps. My knee did hurt at the joint but the stiffness was not too bad which made the walking manageable. And the recovery from pain was also very quick - earlier, I would have to rest 2 days but now, with overnight sleep, I was ready for another 6-7 mile hiking. So for the relief it provides me, I still give it 5-Stars. Now after using it heavily for almost a month, the elastic band stretched a bit more - so now it wraps around which makes the velcro to detach occasionally. To make this a 10 star product, they should deliver with 2 straps - one current size and one 30-40% smaller (to allow for stretching). And keep in mind this was designed to go below the knee in which case, the strap is too long unless you are a professional soccer player or weight lifter with thick legs. I put it above my knee and the strap still is a bit too long now. Original Review: I used it only for 3 days so far, so my review could change after a couple of months - I will update if it changes. 30 years ago, I had ACL reconstruction and my knee was never the same but I was fairly active - I did Mt. Whitney 4 times after my surgery, so I can say my knee was holding out well. However, I injured my knee in the gym doing box jumps - Xrays showed the gap on the outside of my knee reduced inside the joint (probably tore some meniscus and might be grinding on bone) - the pain would not subside and the sports orthopedic surgeon said the only solution was knee replacement which I do not want to do for another decade or longer. I finally took a cortisone shot to have some semblance of normalcy and the comfort lasted about 4 months (doctor said the effect of Cortisone shot lasts about 3 months). The pain started again and it got worse - after any activity - doing lunges in the gym or walking half a mile - my knee would become stiff and I could not bend my knee more than 90 degrees. I had to use foam roller multiple times during the day to relax my quads but it would tighten again. I literally had to drag my injured foot because I could not bend it while walking. And going up and down the stairs was the most painful ! I used a knee brace but it would start getting sweaty and itchy and I had to pull it off. So I decided to try a strap and found this. Though this says it is for Patellar tendon injury, and all pictures show it placed below the knee, I tried - what the heck - it costs less than 3 Starbucks coffees, so I ordered it. I put it above my knee (see picture) - not too tight, not too loose. And it made a world of difference. Sometimes my pain would be 5-7 on a scale of 10 before but now it rarely goes over 2-3. And my knee does not get as stiff as it was before - I can bend to 120-150 degrees now - not as much as my good knee but this is lot better than what I was able to do during the past 2 years. I wear it while working out at gym and come home without much discomfort. I have not tried walking over a mile yet which I will do this weekend - hopefully I don't have to drag my foot to get home! It still does not help a lot while driving in stop-and-go traffic where my knee gets stiff but it is better than without having it on. Anyone with knee pain, I strongly recommend this - while working out, it does get a bit sweaty but I put it on for an hour or so, take it off for some time, and put it back on. I am able to quickly go up and down the stairs without holding the railing, and can function about 75% normal while working out. I am going to watch this for another month or so and post an update. Note: If you do not have bulky legs, this definitely will be big if you put it below the knee - above the knee might work but if you are a big person with strong legs, this would fit perfectly.

Perfect Support in Small Size!
This small knee brace offers great support without feeling bulky. It fits comfortably, stays in place, and gives just the right amount of compression for daily activities. Lightweight, easy to wear, and perfect for mild knee pain or extra stability. Highly recommend!

How do I spell relief? Patella Tendon Knee Straps
Wearing these patella tendon knee straps keeps me from having to take an OTC anti-inflammatory. I've wore every type of knee brace imaginable & some were expensive. Most were uncomfortable because they were long, there was sweat underneath the brace, they were so tight I had to take them off within 1/2 hour & the biggest design flaw was they didn't support the most important area -the patella. I was able to help my husband paint our house last summer because I had these braces & was able to use the ladders. I say brace's, both, because I feel it's important to wear both when you're doing work around the house; the "good" knee, with a brace on, gives the affected knee added support. The really nice thing about these braces is the quality of the padding! The entire brace is very well made with ample velco strapping to keep it snug without being too tight. Price point is very good for 2!!! I ordered Bodyprox's other knee strap - Patella Tendon knee strap,1 for $14.99, and it doesn't compare in terms of comfort. The padding was small & not very thick, and the mesh material in the back of the knee was very scratchy & uncomfortable. I returned it. If there is a time I feel I need support above the knee & below the knee, then I would just use both of these patella knee supports. I'd buy these again as gifts and to have a backup. ***THE KEY in keeping our aches and pains to minimum is the very moment you start to feel pain, grab your braces, whether it's a back brace, knee brace, shoulder brace, ankle brace, etc. Time is of the essence! And lastly, how wonderful it is getting older 🤣😶😐🥴

Amazing support for snowboarding
Incredible product. It’s so minimal I didn’t think it was working but I have torn my meniscus in the past snowboarding, so I am well aware of what it feels like to not have support. I was able to use this product to prevent injuries while I snowboarded the slopes! WELL worth the money. I had tried the knee brace sleeves and they were too constricting and they didn’t even provide as much support as these bands!

This is an incredible product for running, though your mileage might be different. Speaking of my personal experience, I resumed my running this month after 5 month break due to current situation. I see a big difference in experience between 2 runs, first run at 4km without and second run at 5km with the strap. Its obvious I can cover a longer distance due to the knee pain* only occurred after 4km with pain factor (needle like pain) in contrast to the initial run which my pain kicks in at 1.6km with sharp pain (as if i already ran 5km). For both of each runs I did my standard leg warm-ups. *possibly Iliotibial Band Syndrome, pain at each side knee cap. Pain subsides immediately after i stop running. This product would make it easier for anyone who may has history of knee pain or just started running to train. It helps reduce pain and possibly avoid injury. I feel this product will help me accomplish a life long goal of completing a half marathon once, which i previously thought its impossible. Though common sense says DO NOT OVER DO IT! Stop immediately if you feel pain, run within your limit, and have at least 2 days rest inbetween runs or other high impact activity like football/tennis. Pros: The strap fits small knee size at 11inch (below knee cap). Its tight fit. this means it neither fall off or had the feeling of dropping off during my run Easy to adjust due to the strong velcro strap I can feel its supporting my knee, and its evidence by the massive reduction of pain. Faster recovery and facilitates training for long distance running due to better knee support Cons: Nothing to fault it, but perhaps they should include an instruction to say how to wash it (hand wash or chunk it into the washing machine and at what temperatures. Looking at amazon reviews, its washable. Tips: To tighten, its ok to overlap the the initial strap to the second strap. Don't mind the bulge. See my 2nd picture in this review. Then, tightening it to feel a tight fit like wearing a skinny jeans.

Pain in knees from running on uneven surfaces. These worked well, we take them on walks now, and always recommend them when people ask about them. Worth a go if you have knee trouble.
