Great gift for crafty kids
I bought this for my 10 year old niece when she was having a playdate and both kids LOVED making their own soaps. Fun and learning at the same time - the best kind of gift! Soap making project is easy to complete with minimal parental supervision and the results are really cute. Instructions are clear and offer options for melting soap in microwave and on stovetop. Just melt, mix and pour and let sit for 30 minutes, then pop out of the mold. Highly recommended!

Great Project For Young Crafters!
I purchased this DIY soap making kit for my 9 year old niece who likes to craft. She absolutely loved it! Directions were easy to follow and the end product was really beautiful soaps I would actually use myself! She made several batches and gave some to her brother and sister and a friend who liked them also! This soap making kit from CraftLab is a winner for any little crafter.

No instruction
It did not come with instructions. Takes a long time to melt the soap. Scent is strongman. Colors are not the same as on the box. Kids had fun. Plenty of colorant and scent left over if you wan to buy more melt and pour and continue the fun.

Cute little project if you’re curious about making soap or for some fun arts and crafts =)
I bought this soap kit for myself as a fun little craft. It’s reasonably priced compared to other kits, especially if you’ve never made soap before and are curious to see how it works. I’m pleased with the result! It was really fun and easy and didn’t take much prep or cleanup. I took off one star because the molds were very flimsy, so the edges/facets of the “gemstones” weren’t defined. They just look like shapes. Also, the colors included do not quite match those on the box. They’re still pretty, though! I’m also not the biggest fan of lavender, so I added some essential oils I already had. It took some experimenting and trial and error, but it was a fun and satisfying project. I highly recommend it. Some tips: - I used the microwave, but did 10 second increments on half power or lower to slowly melt the soap. Keep an eye on it so it doesn’t boil! It makes some nasty fumes if it does. - You can add the glitter and/or color to the mold first if you want to save time once it’s poured and begins to harden. The colors are really rich, so definitely start with one tiny drop and add more later if you desire. The blue is more aqua than the blue from the picture on the box, and the pink needs a very light touch with the dropper to be pink, otherwise it’s more salmon color, which is also pretty. The yellow, green, purple, and orange were bright and gorgeous. You can mix or marble the colors, or layer them (wait for one small layer to harden and then pour another one of a different color) for different looks. - I found that if I tried to pour all 6 into the mold at once, the soap started to harden before I could finish mixing it, so I would recommend melting 1 or 1 and a 1/2 of a chopped soap block and pouring about 3 at a time and then continuing to melt the soap as needed for the other ones. I hope you have a wonderful time if you purchase this. It would also make a great gift for a child or craft lover in your life! =)

I Love This DIY Soap Making Kit
As a grandmother of seven, three who live with me full time, I’m always looking for unique and educational craft kits and projects for my grandchildren. I bought this soap making kit for my 7 and 12 year old grandson and granddaughter. I love that it teaches some history and science behind soap making. Easy to follow instructions allowed us to make really beautiful jewel and gemstone soaps of various shapes and colors. Both microwave and stove top directions are included. I love that the soap base is all natural and contains no chemicals like SLS (Sodium Laureth Sulfate). The molds are re-usable too, so the next batch we will be making Christmas gifts for family and friends. Lots of fun and Great price, too! Just love this DIY soap making kit!

Very easy to use
Gave this to my daughter as a holiday present and she LOVED it. The directions were easy to follow and very easy for my 4 year old to help with. Obviously she can’t do it alone but great way to spend time together ❤️

Help Kids Show Kindness and Help Stop Coronavirus
My 9 year old and I made these yesterday and they look great (and they really work and smell good too!). She wrote a note and put each one in a gift bag and we walked around the neighborhood to deliver to our neighbors as a way to "Stay Healthy" and "show we care". I was thrilled to see her thoughtfulness in this time of coronavirus pandemic. Our neighbors were so appreciative and it felt good to make a difference even if in a small way. It was a good exercise in division and fractions too! A few tips: Cut each soap bar into 6 squares, then divide into 6 batches of 5 squares each in small custard dishes. That way you can make 2 soaps of all 6 colors! We melted each small batch in microwave then put the dish into a baking dish with hot water to keep it warm while we mixed in the colors and scent and glitter.

Okay but components need improvement
This was a fine enough kit. The molds are really poor quality and just cheap plastic. They get all smushed up when you unmold the soaps. I also thought I’d get 12 soaps from the amount of melt and pour but there wasn’t quite enough. I think for the price, you’d be better off just buying your own components and molds and doing it all yourself.
