Significantly improved!
Not sure how and why this works but it has made a real difference. My 15 year old, 12 pound poodle is on enalapril for CHF. He started coughing, not like his lungs were congested but more like he had thick phlegm. It started with it just happening after he drank water then started happening more and more. Took him to the vet who said his lungs were clear but that sometimes small dogs have problems with ( sorry I dont remember if she said his trachea or his esophagus ) collapsing. I saw a review that said it helped her dog with the same symptoms so I thought I would give it a try. Since he has been getting this he still occasionally coughs but it has really significantly improved. Of note, his snoring has greatly improved, he doesn't cough at all at night and he is sleeping more peacefully and through the whole night which wasn't happening even before the coughing started. I give him 0.5 ml about midday and just squirt it into the side of his mouth. He doesn't like it and because he is a picker eater, I didn't even try putting it on his food. At first, he would run away from me when I tried to give it to him. But as his symptoms have improved he seems resigned and just let's me give it to him. I like to think he knows it makes him feel better.

Fantastic option to prescribed drugs. This works!
This product most definitely works! My little dog was diagnosed with a heart murmur and was prescribed drugs which gave him terrible side effects. I looked up a more holistic option and found ‘Pet Wellbeing Young at Heart for Dogs on Amazon. Since he has been on this, he does not pant and pace which he when he was on prescription drugs. I highly recommend this product based on my dog’s health improvement!

A few drops a day may help your pup live longer.
A safe recipe of known plant-based support for heart health in humans, it seems to help dogs as well. My 14-year old terrier has congestive heart disease related to his leaky heart valve. He is coughing less and is more interested in going on walks since I started putting it in his water and his home-made chicken and peas meals.

Stable heart disease for the last 2.5 years!!
My male chihuahua was diagnosed with heart disease July 2016 [9 years old, grade III/VI, degenerative mitral valve disease], and at the time, his veterinary cardiologist did not recommend or suggest any supplements to support his heart. Because I was so relieved that he did not require any medications at the time, I was totally okay with just continuing to do what I was always doing. One year later, July 2017, we went back to the cardiologist for a check up - I got another great report stating that his heart disease has not progressed. Once again, I asked about anything I could give to support the heart, and he said that there isn't any research out there that suggests supplements in pets slow down the progression of the disease. At this point, I was not satisfied with that answer and went out to do some research on my own. That's when I read about Hawthorn in humans and how in people with valve issues, this tincture has really improved their cardiovascular health - so of course, I had to try it out - PLUS it's bacon flavor, a big hit with a sometimes picky chihuahua. Angus has been receiving this in his food twice daily, 5 drops each meal, since November of 2017. He does get an echocardiogram every 6 months, but the cardiologist visits are only once annually. July 2018, the cardiologist was genuinely surprised by Angus's progress, or lack there of in this case, and reported that Angus is "beating the odds" and that he has static heart changes from last year. What pet owner wouldn't want to hear that?? Angus has never refused his food because of the flavor, each bottle has arrived intact, quickly through Amazon, and the dropper is long enough to get every last drop out of the bottle! Angus turns 12 next month, and just had his 6 month echo performed with still the same numbers and report. I hope to update this in July to see what changes, hopefully none there will be. It could be that I am lucky, and this supplement doesn't help at all, but reading the human articles and studies, I believe that to be not quite the case. I know at some point Angus WILL need heart medications, but the idea behind this supplement is to push that off as far as possible. He also eats a raw diet, gets Ubiquinol, Antinol, and CBD oil - he also gets quite a few joint/dental supplements but those are not related to heart health (: If any of my dogs develop heart disease due to a valve issue in the future, I will always go to this supplement. And always let your veterinary team know ALL supplements you are giving your dog, especially something like this, because it could alter the way medications work for your pet. NOV 2019 UPDATE: So Angus had another echo last week, and at this time, there is a recommendation to start Vetmedin. He now has a 4/6 murmur but still in stage B2 (which he has been in since at LEAST last year). On a positive note, Angus has gone for 3.5 years without needing any medications and even now, he is doing EXCELLENT! I have not noticed any coughing, exercise intolerance, lack of appetite, nothing - So overall, I truly believe that this supplement has given Angus even more time with me, and starting Vetmedin now is still a proactive approach (based off of the EPIC trial study that was done). He is turning 13 in Feb, and I am very happy with how well he is doing overall.

Wonderful product.
This has made such a difference for my dog. He is over 13 years old and has congestive heart failure. A little over a year ago he refused to take his prescription medicine. He started with young at heart. According to the vet his condition has not gotten worse and I believe he is much better. I had some questions at first. I called Pet Wellbeing . They were wonderful. I highly recommend their products.

Very disappointed. Had High hopes from reading all the reviews. Did Nothing.
UPDATE 4/1/21- With time, i realized these helped a bit, Gold tincture was not very noticeable (cancer one) but the cancer has never spread or grown, and the Young at Heart is better compared to others here. I thought it was doing nothing but when i took her off it (and moved to other brands) it showed it was doing something. Since time of review i added about 9 supplements to her food (Muscle up powder, antler powder, FERA cardiac support etc etc) and she seemed to start coughing all throughout the day like getting worse, i started doing more research- and i found an amazing group. Healing Diet for Dogs and Cats on Facebook. Honestly the BEST thing i have done so far. Does not need any supplements or tinctures anymore. She coughs maybe twice a day, acts like a crazy puppy. My other one who would bleed from scratching has gone from a 10 to 3. I highly recommend it! Hi to everyone reading this review, I purchased the Young at Heart and the Gold tinctures for my 11 year old, 5 lbs Chihuahua, who was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, a mammary tumor and tracheal collapse. I have found that these tinctures unfortunately do nothing. Even with the support of the Q10, Multivitamins and Krill Oil. When i found out about her conditions, i immediately changed her Halo Kibble to homemade food, and added all these other things to support her health. I wanted to see if this would help without medications or without doing the MFS Pet protocol right away until i saved money for it. Now that it is confirmed, i suggest, if you have a beloved pet that is given a terminal diagnosis, Master Fast System Pets is the way to go, not to treat. but to heal. I will be using the tinctures and herbs the protocol supports there. I could not find a way to contact the seller.

Young At Heart / Diet Changes helped Stage 2 Congestive Heart Disease & tracheal collapse. DON'T replace meds without tapering.
This product does work for my 11 year old Yorkie, Louis, who was diagnosed with tracheal collapse, stage 2 congestive heart disease and flooded lungs. He was prescribed 2 diuretics and Vetmedin. This dog is like my child and his diagnosis, along with the way he started backing away from walks, scared me into researching nonstop for a month on diet and supplements and the effects of medications on senior dogs. Along with this product, the holistic vet recommended adding Ubiquinol (more readily available Co-enzyme Q10), calcium powder, Spark supplements and krill oil (this helps with heart, brain and bone health). The biggest change happened when we switched out his diet from kibble to Stella and Chewy's raw food. These supplements and diet changes created MIRACLES for my puppy! No more coughing and he moved so much better when he walks. We tapered off the medication by 10% every week so that his heart and lungs would not suddenly go without help from the Vetmedin and diuretics. The food took 2 months to fully transition from expensive "limited ingredient" kibble to Stella and Chewy's raw meat frozen patties. I did extensive reading before giving this product a try and found out that it is dangerous to suddenly stop giving him the Vetmedin. Building up the dose of Young At Heart For Dogs and tapering off the prescriptions safely and taking him to the vet every 2 weeks to monitor his liver and heart condition helped a lot. When I first took him to the vet for his condition, he could hardly walk around the building of my apartment. This was a dog that used to jog 2 miles with me up to age 11. :( We are 2 years after I noticedhis shortness of breath. At 13, his heartbeat is more normal and there is no coughing, thanks to this product. Through careful monitoring, I have him at only 20% of the Vetmedin that was prescribed and 25% of the diuretic medication. He also gets the Milk Thistle and the Kidney Health to protect his liver and kidneys from the Vetmedin. Bottom Line: Please do NOT just stop your dog's medications and replace it in one dose. It might work better to taper off the Vetmedin to give the supplements time to absorb into your dog's system. Read the effects of these medications AND what happens to dogs when you feed them kibble. I will never feed a dog kibble (ours was VERY expensive and "high end") again.

Dog hates it
It's difficult to say whether this is helping or not. I certainly don't notice any significant changes. My dog has a severe murmur and I didn't expect any miracles but I figured I'd give it a try. The downfall is that he hates it. If I put it directly in his mouth, he acts like I am killing him. If I put it in his food, even wet food, he refuses to eat the food. It is pretty potent so keep that in mind if you have a picky eater or a dog that doesn't handle medicine well. Mine is a giant baby so this isn't a shock but still makes it not really worth the trouble to try to get it into his system. My other dog couldn't care less and eats the food that my other dog won't eat with the product in it. So I will give it to her instead as just a boost to her system but it really didn't serve the purpose I hoped it would.
