Most Hardworking
This phone mount is an absolute beast! The aluminum build is super sturdy, holding my phone tight no matter how rough the ride gets. The 360° rotation is smooth and makes it easy to adjust for the best view. Installation was quick and hassle-free, and once it’s on, it stays put. No slipping, no rattling—just a solid, hardworking mount that gets the job done. If you need something reliable for your bike or motorcycle, this is the one. 10/10 recommend!

Great, sturdy phone mount for your bike!
I wanted a sturdy, easy to use phone mount for my bike and this one is perfect. It's all aluminum (zero plastic) and built very well. The screw-type mechanism lets me firmly fasten the phone into the mount so I have no fear it will come loose. Even in a recent bike accident, my phone stayed in the holder!!!! It does not block any of the buttons on my phone, and also allows me to have a charger cable plugged into the phone when riding (my ebike battery has a USB charge port, so I can keep my phone charged from the bike battery.) I do not use a case with my phone, so it fits very nicely in the little cradle. Adding the thickness of a case could change how well it fits. I am not sure. Overall, though, I highly recommend this. Easy to mount. Easy to use. Very sturdy. Also decent looking.

Good mount but does not fit on the center stem
I bought this mount and considered it against the Roam mount (that boasts universal compatibility on bikes) and a Rockbros center mount bag with included phone access slot. The Rock Bros bag was fine for the price I suppose, but just too cheap. I prefer to buy once whenever possible and the actual mounts may not hold anything but a phone but they would last longer than the Rockbros bag which was a plastic material that was misshaped in the package and had minor clues of how it would look aged already. The Gub mount is great in that it is metal and works well if you are using a slightly rubberized or textured phone case instead of a bare phone or a slippery hard case of some kind. The holder is a clamp with a lip on one side that rotates 360 degrees on some kind of plastic circular rotator. The Gub mount feels high quality except for the rotation feel but if you leave it in place that won't bother you and it doesn't seem as if it is compromising the build quality, at least in the short term. I really wanted to mount this to the center stem of my bicycle to keep my handlebars clear, but it was not even close to opening wide enough. I can't say how thick my stem is but it does seem average for a steel road bike. I was quite disappointed to learn this. The mount does require being tightened down quite firm when using their plastic slippery spacers unless you use the included clear plastic rubber piece. It also comes with rubber pieces to place on the grab points of the mount to protect your phone if you are not using a case. It tightens with an allen key so as to not be easily stolen. This was a big strength it had over the Roam mount which was plastic, had many more small hanging pieces; so was not as clean looking, and had moving parts that just barely fit my phone. The Roam's plastic seems like it could become brittle when exposed to the elements although it doesn't exactly feel cheap, and this is why I wanted a metal mount. I cannot speak to the actual long-term use of this as I will probably be returning it remorsefully.

Solid Phone Mount
I thought this came with both, the shorter and longer mounts, I was wrong. It only comes with the longer mount. Seems to function as it should, well-made, I just ordered the wrong one.

Sturdy bike phone mount
Sturdy phone bike mount for my device. Stays in place and holds up well. Also comes with a rubber to wrap on the corner of my phone to keep it on more securely.

Sturdy, well made, good design...
I have 3 different phone mounts for mountain biking. Was still searching for a better one, so bought 2 of these... and due to how impressed I was with this product I was compelled to author a review. I have an iPhone Xs Max with the Apple brand leather case. This mount is near perfect. The clamp mechanism uses a screw to tighten the grip on the phone. No clumsy spring loaded clamp mechanism and rubber bands necessary which is the beauty of this design. The entire mount is aluminum rather than a blend of metal and plastic or all plastic that are often used in other products. Due to this, the mount is sturdy. And while it only grips the lower half of the large phone with its prongs, that is all that it needs. The phone is very secure. The prongs that grip the case are long enough for my phone/case combo but if you have a thicker case you may have issues as prongs may be shorter than the thickness of your case. Suggestions / Areas for improvement: (1) a second model offering longer prongs, (2) stop using the “security” Allen heads, use the standard (3) offer additional colors, (4) engineer a softer nylon washer for main Allen head screw mount that secures the holder to the bar mount.

USE THE RUBBER BANDS!!!
So, this is actually a pretty good little unit. It has a nice, aluminum frame and comes with fitment adapters for different sized handlebars. As long as you use the rubber band retainer with it, it holds my phone in place even at 80+ mph on a V-twin (lots of vibration). The only thing I don't like is the thumb screw adjustment on the frame. It doesn't hold tight and will loosen up after about 30-45 minutes of riding. It also makes it easy to overtighten the frame onto your phone (possibly resulting in a cracked screen). But as long as you use the rubber band retainer it stays in place and you don't have to over tighten the thumb screw adjuster. That is the other reason I gave lower ratings on "easy to install" because it is actually not that convenient to have to use the rubber band and it makes it hard to get your finger onto the back to open up my android phone.

First impression, 5 stars
The product seems sturdy and was easy to install. It came with 3 sizes of spacers to accommodate different size bars, which is nice. With the exception of the plastic spacers and the stretchy holder, this is an all-metal design (which is nice). The stretchy holder is useless to me. It does not fit my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I can see how this would be an extra level of protection to prevent your phone from falling out, however, it does not fit large phones. It would be best if two sizes were included. Having said that, I would like to share an observation - make sure you have a phone case. Seeing the product pictures with a bare phone in this mount, with the metal surface of the mount, I can't imagine that would turn out well. Additionally, there would have to be 4 indentions where the clamp meets the phone edge. If not on the first use, after a few uses. The 4 clamps go straight up and taper a little at the end. If your phone case extends past the the tapered part, it's not going to hold your phone very well. In other words, your case can't be too big. They don't share the dimensions of these, so it's hard to say how big of a phone case is 'too big'. Sorry, I don't feel like measuring it. So yeah...if you put a bare phone in this holder it will get damaged. If your case is too big, it will fall out. Someone also wrote that you need a tool to mount/dismount your phone with each use. I'm not sure why they would state this. You just twist the knob to mount/dismount your phone. Lastly, it appears that some are expecting some kind of special screw that does not take a regular allen wrench. I'm not sure if such a mount exist like this out of the box. You are welcome to reach out to me. I would be happy to sell you this mount along with the right size screws that require a 'special tool' to unscrew for $50. Or.....you can just buy replacement screws for cheap on your own. Screws that take a special tool are probably easier to find. You can just replace the existing ones. While this won't protect your phone while in the mount, it will deter someone from stealing your mount. These may work: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DKY655T/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_T8F7F2MW40PZAPFNB6QV
