Cheap doors, but good stand.
I love this! You do need your handy dandy hammer and screwdriver to put this together. Ours arrived with a crack in one of the plastic doors in the bottom left corner but it's not very noticeable and we honestly don't care. It is very heavy. But once everything is put together I think it looks good! It doesn't look cheap like some other things do for such a cheap price, excluding the plastic doors of course. The two doors on the front are the only thing that is plastic on it. I thought it was fairly easy to put together, husband had it done in 10 minutes and it seems very sturdy! Honestly you are getting your money's worth with this stand, if you don't take into account the plastic doors that arrived damaged. I definitely think convenience concepts makes good products!

Solid Stand overall, Doors are cheap and disposable.
General ImpressionsI am happy with my purchase of this TV stand. I was looking for a functional stand for my basement living area that had some storage and space to display game consoles and a blu ray player. I have a 32 inch Samsung TV on this stand, it's an older model and has a fair amount of weight to it, and this stand holds up well for it. The look of the stand is clean and very sturdy. My biggest gripe is the doors.Installation \ ConstructionThe installation and setup of this tv stand was relatively straightforward, all of the pre-drilled holes were dead on and fit together exactly as expected. The stand is made of pressed wood, the doors are plastic. I have considered removing the doors though, as they are extremely flimsy and the finish on the doors attracts everything to it, so they never look clean. The hardware on the doors is simple screw in variety, unfortunately one of the knobs stripped out immediately on installation, a little super glue corrected that issue. The "metal" stands between the base and the tv deck as wrapped in a plastic metal finish, and the caps are also plastic. The Good- Solid TV stand- Price (especially through Warehouse Deals)- Easy to build- SturdyThe Bad- The doors are cheap plastic- Plastic finish on doors attracts dog hair and dust- Door hardware is flimsy- "Metal" is plastic as well

STURDY, WORTH THE MONEY, EASY TO ASSEMBLE!
Absolutely loved this - Not cheap looking at all (which I was kind of expecting). It is sturdy for sure and holds my huge flatscreen. The doors are plastic but you cannot tell at all because the tint on them are extremely dark black. This is a nice piece and takes up just the perfect amount of space. It was easy to assemble as well and was well worth the price!

It's worth the money that I paid for.
I received the unit unassembled and for me who love the Ikea products for the price, I have no problem to put the unit together ( I don't need the doors, so it's a no issue for me ).Luckily the unit I received have a very small chip at the back of the second plate so it doesn't show unless I look for it.Actually, it's a very nice and sturdy stand and I really like it.

Sturdy, economical yet functional and a lasting value
Update 2020: a TV unit takes very little abuse so it should hold tight if original build quality is solid. After 4 years in use, the unit still looks new. Whereas IKEA stuff starts to show wear, the veneers used on this unit are of good quality (and not a thin paper stuck to MDF). Yes doors are flimsy but that’s the only drawback. Doors should not be a deal breaker. Don’t install plastic doors if you don’t like. This one served our son for four years in college and it’s going to serve next four years of grad school. It’s rare these days that cheap stuff doesn’t mean cheap quality. This one deserves five stars.Original review 2016:Better than IKEA kind. For 39.99, this one is a steal. Agreed that door panels are plastic but overall built quality is solid. Will work best with 32 or 40 inch TV.Neither of shelves can hold PlayStation in vertical position.

Meh. It works but it is not very good quality.
It assembled reasonably well. The instructions were easy to understand even though they were only pictograms. The most glaring issue was the plastic doors for the lower compartments. They were so bad looking and poorly made that we chose to simply throw them out and assemble the stand without them. It was the right choice.

The piece is sturdy and looks nice
Received and assembled this piece last night. For $40, I really can't complain. The piece is sturdy and looks nice. It serves exactly the function I wanted it to, which was to fill an awkwardly large gap between my bed and my desk that would be too big for a regular night stand to fill up. It also looks good too.The only thing I would mention about this product is that the doors are a really light, crappy plastic, and the materials are prone to breaking (one of the bottoms of the metal rods broke off because I apparently twisted it too hard. I don't think I really twisted it that hard.). One of the doors also did not install well and was really wobbly, and I actually had to resort to breaking one of the door holders to get it off. However, when all is said and done, I paid $40 for this thing, and that is definitely an appropriate / cheap price for this product. You are also fully capable of leaving the doors off, which actually makes it look better in my opinion.Although I can't say this product is the highest quality, it is absolutely worth buying for a measly $40. Anything similar to this will cost you more than double this price.
