It's got a very strong smell. Very fresh and lemony. I have yet to use it though. However it's so strong that when transferring it to a mylar bag for long term storage, it made me and my friend feel high due to the dust.

It tastes okay and is a great quantity, but lemon grass tea made with it is noticably less potent and delicious when compared to harvesting fresh lemon grass plants.

I make my own chicken & duck nesting\health boosting herbs & am always on the hunt for fresh, healthy, AFFORDABLE herbs by the pound to include in the mix I make of 12-17 types of immune system building, internal & external parasite controlling, good smelling herb leaf, flowers & fruits. This mix gets put in their next boxes, scattered thru coops & included daily in their feed bowls. This product fits all my needs, is well liked by the birds & is a part of the health maintainance regime I practice for them daily. Likely not the usually use of this product but included with many other herbs saves me tons of money not buying other commercial nesting herbs products. This is fresh, potent & cost effective in my home made mix.
