Best Build Quality of ANY Third Party SNES Controller
I can't emphasize it enough, but this controller from Retroflag is the best and most comfortable I've tried yet. I've bought many third party controllers before and a lot of them are subpar to practically worthless, but this is by far the closest I've felt compared to a real SNES controller. The weight is perfect, the d-pad is perfectly textured with the proper beveled edges, and the buttons push exactly the way that they're designed to push. I will admit that the face buttons sound a tad bit clicky when pressed, but I'm not that peeved by it. They're comfortable to press, and that's really all that matters to me. This is the end-all third party USB SNES controller to pick up, and it's great for the RetroPie. Forget those iBuffalos, I used to think they were the best.. but this conquers the iBuffalo. PS: If anyone was curious, the controller is read as a Microsoft XBOX 360 controller when plugged into the RetroPie.

Best snes style pad for the price
Purchased the Jpad. Sturdy construction and nice weight. The buttons and dpad of the controller i received feel exactly like an original Super Famicom controller. This has, I believe a 6 foot cable, alot better than the 2.5 ft of the original. L and R buttons are sturdy, which is one of the first things I notice in a cheap snes clone controller. I use this on a raspberry pi 3b running recalbox, and everything works flawlessly. No accidental inputs, and very responsive. An ABSOLUTELY GREAT controller for the price.

The best SNES controller I have ever used!
I was looking for a good SNES controller for emulation and I had heard great things about this Retroflag one so I purchased it and WOW! It's almost exactly like the original SNES controllers and even feels a little bit heavier! The weight is great, the buttons and the d-pad are excellent (I was amazed at how well it handled games like Contra 3...gameplay was just awesome with this Retroflag SNES controller). The Retroflag SNES controller came in a nice little box and you can select between DINPUT or XINPUT so make sure you read the back of the box for the directions on how to switch between the two (which is a nice feature being able to switch). I highly recommend this controller if you're looking for the best SNES controller for emulation (or just gaming period!).

Tested with Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Classic Ninja Gaiden games.
Playing Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Classic Ninja Gaiden games was nearly flawless. This controller is better then the overpriced "Buffalo classic pad" that's for sure. I would place this controller in 3rd place almost a tie with the iNNEXT one's. These are my favorite retro controllers and are the best in my opinion. 8Bitdo SN30 Pro+ Bluetooth capable and a great D-pad. For a cheaper alternative and the D-pad is also great, the iNNEXT 2 Pack SNES Retro USB Super gamepad.

Solid SNES-clone, better than iBuffalo? It depends...
The iBuffalo classic has been my go-to gamepad for SNES games for years now. They are solid, well-built, have a nice feel to the buttons and d-pad, and work well with most games and emulators. I came across this guy, and when I saw the concave Y+X buttons, font, and colors like the OG NA SNES controller I grew up with, I knew it had to be mine. This is a great controller. The buttons and d-pad are solid, it has a good weight and material feel, and the looks are spot on. Besides that, it has both xinput and dinput modes and is automatically recognized and mapped correctly in more games and emulators than the iBuffalo (and the layout is a little more intuitive than say the Retrobit Genesis controllers which also support xinput and dinput). Is it better? That depends. the iBuffalo's buttons have a much lighter press, almost too light (I've had them for years though, maybe they are just broken-in?). But, for my little arthritis hands, I do find it somewhat more comfortable for longer play sessions. But, the retroflag's buttons do feel a little more solid and direct (dare I say more accurate to the original), but they do require a little more force to actuate. Honestly, you can't go wrong with either controller. If you want a bit lighter touch, the iBuffalo may be the better option. But, if you want incredible out-of-the-box plug-n-play game compatibility, the aesthetics of the North American SNES controller, and a bit heavier press, you can't go wrong with the Retroflag.

Defective D-pad & USB Cord
The controller itself is extremely close to the original. It has a good weight and the feel is top notch. However the D-pad is overly sensitive and will get you killed in game with inputs you're not pressing. This is especially bad with UP/DOWN when pressing LEFT/RIGHT. Eventually your controller will stop working. The USB will connect and reconnect in a loop. This is NOT the controller. It is the cord. And it is NOT the connection inside the controller (like from tugging). It is the ACTUAL cord that fails. DO NOT WRAP YOUR CORD AROUND THE CONTROLLER WHEN YOU'RE NOT USING IT -- THIS WILL EXPEDITE CORD FAILURE (from wire crimping, I'm assuming) It's too bad the D-pad sucks, this is a great controller otherwise (while it works)

Instructions for making this work with Nintendo Switch: 1 - Go to Settings, Controllers and Sensors, Pro Controller Wired Communication = On 2 - Plug controller in to dock 3 - Change grip/order of controllers This still didn't work for me, so then I had to do a 'proper' restart: 4 - Hold down console power button for several seconds and choose restart. The controller itself is very well made, with a good feel to the buttons and D-Pad (I always used to avoid 3rd party controllers back in the day as they tended to be poor quality, but this feels as good as a genuine one).

Excelente control, solo que el D-pad podría mejorar.

This controller is the closest I think you’ll get to a real SNES. For the price it out does the 8bitdo which I returned 2 of after feeling the sticky dpad and buttons. This Retroflag works great on the Switch. People have complained about no home button for the Switch but if you just hold start and select together you will return to your Switch home screen. Also make sure that the “wired pro controller” is turned on in the controller options. Great feeling controller!

The industry is rife with terrible quality retro controllers and adapters for PC. They either have trouble being recognized, break within months, or both. I once had a retro sega genesis 6 button controller shatter in my hands from gripping it because the plastic was so thin. Everyone told me to try 8bitdo so I did, and their bluetooth wasnt recognized half the time so I had to always play it with the short charging cable, and then a month later the charging port broke. I was going to give up before a guy on youtube mentioned this retroflag controller and man he was right. It works with everything and it shows no sign of wear after lots of use. To nitpick something the outer texture is not as smooth as some others, but thats a very minor detail. Finally a retro usb controller thats actually good!

I had to add a keybinder programe to be able to use this for what I wanted, but that was very simple to add. I'm now playing the fan made pokemon games with ease-long nails and laptop keyboard controls don't play well! lol! Feels nice to hold and use, buttons are firm, not spongy, nice and light. Can't think of any downsides tbh!
