EAY Gold Waterproof Playing Cards - Poker Deck for Parties and Games

These are REALLY nice cards! I asked my son (turning 15) what little party favor he may like to give his guests at his upcoming family birthday dinner, and he said, "maybe a deck of cards for everyone?" I decided to hunt for the spiffiest, best cards I could to fulfill that, and that led me to these. I like that they're waterproof and durable. That was actually the initial draw (with a SUPER busy little one in the house "sturdy" usually is a word in the search bar for any new toys or items like this), but the sheer visual pizzazz that these are is a huge dollop of icing on the cake. When I unboxed them, my first impression is that they're even prettier than the pics do justice, and I LOVE the feel of them. They're very sturdy, but have a nice flex and they shuffle well. The little bit of texture adds just enough friction that they're not too slick. The box is durable, too (although my one teeeeeeny complaint is that working the flaps open on it can take a sec, but that's picky...really, it's fine). I played a few rounds of solitaire on my own deck (hey, I'm a party guest, too, right?) before packing it away for the party just to see that these operate as smoothly in play as a typical deck. They do. They're visually as easy to work with as your classic-looking deck (plenty easy to read for your player with typical eyesight), shuffle nicely, and stay in place well as I sorted and tossed cards into place, no crazy slip-sliding....all perfect! I'm so happy I picked these, and I think my son and his guests will be really pleased with these as treat. We do a lot of camping and stuff and my kids also tend to like carry an arsenal of stuff to keep busy with everywhere, and a deck or two of these on hand for these types of thing will be great; they're definently a quality that I can count on surviving getting toted around on the regular and played in less conventional spots than the card table. If you want cards that will withstand a lot of use and miles, I definitely reccomend these for your consideration. And, I'll add once more: they're beautiful--really eye-catching!

Stylish cards

It is hard to complain about these cards really. I will break down my thoughts based on 3 criteria... Durability: These are pretty solid cards, you can see some very minimal warping, the picture of the cards I used went through 2 poker nights and over 100 shuffles with thumb riffles - I would say they kept shape about as much as you would hope, only a hyper-critical player would say otherwise. If you are worried about that as a professional player? Then there is your warning - but for my use in my tournaments it is acceptable. Easy to read: eh...I mean they are reflective gold cards...it isn’t horrific, it isn’t great...it is enough to just not annoy me, lol! Wow factor: I thought they were kinda whimsical but got them for that, for me they were not my fav deck, but I also have over 100 decks. THAT BEING SAID!! I seem to be the only one who didn’t think they were the coolest cards ever made! LOL! With 40 players in my last tournament I am not sure if there wasn’t a player that made a comment when they were dealt the cards at the main table. I was extremely tempted to give these a 5 star solely based on the reaction I got with them, but! With the visibility of the numbers and the overall durability I think a 4 is fair. Maybe a 4.5 because it seems anyone else at poker night would say it was their favorite deck! I should also note, these shuffle easily, no sticking, not slippery...good feel and easy to thumb riffle. If you bridge they also grip enough to not fly all over the room. About as close to premium poker decks as you will get without actually being one.

The cards look so great. They were very sturdy for a good poker game usage. Shuffling went well and the ease of usage was good. I only used it 2 times till now. They work great, but I started to observe some black spots on few of the cards. I believe they increase as I kept using. So, I just have to check the worth for money and the quality of these cards. Love the coloring on these though. The designs were setup well. Love the design. Golden suited well on the black poker board that I got on Amazon.
