Q: According to the manufacturer's website, this model should have adjustable heat settings. Is this correct?

All new Xlerators units have a setting where you can change it to a high, medium or low heating setting. This would be on all units made after 2015. Allied Hand Dryer 1-800-535-4393

Q: Do I need someone to install the electrical part, any permit, license for my public restrooms?

Generally these are installed by licensed electricians. You may need this inspected if that is required in your municipal code. Ask Peter Brainard VP Sales Restroom Direct 704-937-2676.

Q: does it meet canadian standards?

Yes, it is UL certified and Canadian certified. Unless you live in the really HOT part of Canada however, you may want to consider the regular XL-BW which comes with heated warm air to both help dry your hands faster and keep you comfortable.
