Exact fit for PS4 Pro (and it's a NIDEC)
I don't typically write reviews, but if you own a 1st Gen PS4, consider this fan and consider swapping the thermal paste on your machine. ...this fan comes with everything you need to swap it out (including a Phillips and torx (security) bit screwdriver and thermal paste and a spatula). ...for me, I had already broken the PS4 down once and determined the fan was bad and that the thermal paste was solidified. ...on Ghost of Tsushima, while riding Kage through a field, the fan would scream. ...I swapped the fan and the thermal paste last night and played for about 2 hours - and had to put my hand behind the PS4 to determine if the fan was working.... This is a definite reduction in noise and a success in my opinion. If you're on the fence, get this fan, swap it out and replace the thermal paste AND PADS (ALL OF THEM). You won't be disappointed....

Virtually an OEM replacement.
This product is an exact replacement to the one that comes stock in the Playstation. If you are a tech person it is very easy to install. The noise level is nice and quiet compared to my old failed fan. Over all extremely happy with the product. Now to find a new power supply for my playstation

It worked.
Used this on my PS4 Pro Destiny 2 edition that had been running loud with a really annoying whine. The screwdrivers worked well and the fan is nice and quiet. When running at full speed it's loud but doesn't have the whine that the stock one had.And the only reason it ran at full speed was cos I screwed up the thermal paste first time. With that done correctly it's been quiet. For others looking to do this:I watched a couple of teardown videos to see how do it. Mostly it's a lot of unscrewing things, keep track of the screws and where they should go.Biggest issues I had were getting the case apart and the internal power connector. For whatever reason the case on mine needed a LOT of force to pry apart. I ended up giving it a couple of sideways taps with rubber mallet and that seemed to free it up.The thin 4 wire power connector was stuck, possibly even glued in at both ends.In the teardown videos, I saw the guys just quickly pop it off without issue.Mine started to disintegrate as I tried to use pliers. In the end I just left it connected and unscrewed everything I could.I was able to rotate the main board enough to get the fan out and the new one in and then put on the thermal paste.Initially I used a thermal pad from another vendor and that didn't work out. Not sure if it was too thick or I didn't tighten the heatsink down enough, but the PS4 went into full speed fan mode when turned on.I took the pad out, cleaned it all up and then used 5 small blobs of the supplied paste. That seemed to work and it's been quiet so far.

Quiets Model CUH-7015b
The media could not be loaded. I got one of the first 747 Jet PS4 Pros Model CUH-7015b. It sounded horribly LOUD when I bought it used. I cleaned the whole heatsink which was clogged, and the clogged fan....also replace the thermal paste. It was a loy better but still not quiet enough. Then I saw this fan online. I biught it, installed and now its so quiet in most games, and in very demanding games or menus when it usually sound like its about ti blow up, it just sound kinda regular to me, like a PS2 which is wayyyyy more tolerable. Highly reccomend if you have the 1st line of PS4 Pros.

Difficult to install if you havent done it before.
It took me over 3 hours to thoroughly clean the fan and replace it. There are YouTube videos, but my PS4 pro model isn't shown in the video, and up to a certain point, I was on my own, having to take it apart for about half of it. It would have taken me half the time if I hadn't run into that problem. The fan was just what was needed. GTA, MW2, Fortnite, or any big game has not even made the PS4 pro make a sound. It definitely gave the system another 3 or 4 years worry-free. Would undoubtedly buy again to fix a loud PS4.

The install was the worst part only because it's buried pretty deep in the PS4 Pro.
I watched several videos before attempting because this is not something I regularly do. My son's PS4 Pro sounded like a jet taking off and occasionally shut down on him mid-gaming. After failing to find a local PC shop or Tech store that was willing to service it, I ordered this kit and just did it myself. The thing is a fricken ninja now... He's playing some newer games that he was avoiding due to the over heating issue and now it's hard to even tell when the fan is running. The kit comes with everything but confidence, but you can get that from the endless number of videos on the topic.

Everything I Needed! (Almost)
I picked the right fan based on my PS4 model number. I got a fan for the PS4 Slim. This fan was the exact same form factor as my original fan, the old one had a broken ball bearing and was very loud. The two screwdrivers were perfect for every single piece in the PS4. So thankful that this came as a kit with the thermal paste and even some cloths for cleaning the cpu and heatsink. I used an iFixIt guide to replace the fan. That part was long and stressful, but now that my ps4 is put back together, I am playing God of War Ragnarok and it's very quiet :)
